I see Lovie Smith has finally seen the light and is ditching that useless Grossman fecker. A win badly wanted for the Bears and should be achieved.

Rossie11

Reckon even Grossman would thrown a few TDs against that Detroit defense.
Jesus they were useless last week

Dosnt really matter if Grossman or Griese plays against Detroit, Bears will win that one anyway.  Looking forward to Broncos @ Colts, on Sky Sports on Sunday, though I have a bad feeling Indi will win handy, Denver havnt looked great this year at all.

week 4 looking good for me with culpepper having 4 TDs (so far) and oakland DEF having a big day

thejuice

Farve broke Marino's career TD record. he has 2 TD's today, so far, 422 touchdowns.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Great win for the Cards last night. 2-2 now. Is this the dawn of respectability for us long suffering fans?

At least it's taking my mind off the Fantasy league, the sight of Jake Delhomme holding a clipboard didn't do much for my mood after the rugby. Reports later.

magpie seanie

It seems Grossman togged out in Griese's uniform this week....

Shocking loss for the Bears and season is in big crap if they lose next week.

Week 4 - Latest Scores.

Well another week is almost consigned to the history books with only the Bengals - Patriots clash to come tonight. Here are the current scores in advance of that game.

The Faithful Turfmen (1-2) 48.30 - 82.81 Hegan's Helmets (2-1)
A combination of Jacksonville bye week, and an elbow injury to Jake Delhomme has left the Turfmen seriously exposed this week, and it seems as if it has been too big of a setback to cover, as the Helmets seem poised to take a handy enough victory here. For the Helmets, it was another good week for the Quarterbacks, as both Tony Romo (QB- DAL, 339 yards, 3 TDs, 1 rushing TD, 33.98 points) and, to a lesser extent, Ben Roethlisberger (QB - PIT, 244 yards, 2TDs, 14.18 points) performed strongly. Green Bay Wideout James Jones also chipped in with 10.45 points to give them a good lead heading into tonight's game. The Turfmen had only the Dallas Defense (12 points) and Green Bay kicker Mason Crosby (12 points) to point to in terms of 10 point breakers. It's not a complete lost cause for the Turfmen, but Carson Palmer (QB CIN) will have to have a 35 point night against the tough Patriot's Defense tonight. Landon Johnson (DL - CIN) is in action for the Helmets.

Curragh Rams (3-0) 84.94 - 68.44 Mayo Mafiosi (2-1)
The Rams look set fair to continue their impressive start to the season as they hold a 16.5 point lead heading into tonight's game. Peyton Manning (QB - IND) had a good night as he took the Broncos Defence for 193 yards, and 3 TDs as well a collector's item rushing TD for himself and a total of 27.71 points. Also contributing heavily were Deoin Branch (WR-SEA, 130 yards, 12.50 points) and Leon Washington (RB - NYJ, 24 yards, TD, 38 receiving yards, 59 return yards, 16.05 points). The New England Patriot Defence, and Mike Vrabel (DL - NE) are in action for the Rams tonight, and will be looking to lock up the win. The Mafiosi have hung in there, as Dwayne Bowe (WR-KC) continues to show himself to be a great sleeper pick The Chiefs wideout had another good night as he hauled in 164 yards and a TD for 22.20 points to lead the scoring for the Mafiosi. Also prominent was Steve McNair (QB - BAL) as he threw for 307 yards, a TD and 14.24 points in a surprise loss to the Browns. That is the extent of the big scorers for the Mafiosi so far, and they will hope that Kenny Watson (RB - CIN), and Patriot's Kicker Stephen Gostkowski can have big nights. A high scoring win for Cincinnati may be the ticket for the Mafiosi.

Ardboe Astros (1-2) 35.86 - 73.10 Ruthless Rossies (0-3)
The Astros will be concerned at the performances of the last 2 weeks, even more than the two bad results, as it seems done and dusted that the Rossies will take advantage and get their first win of the season in this tie. With no scorers over 10 points, and only Ellis Hobbs (DB - NE) to appear tonight, it's another miserable weekend for the Astros. The Rossies, in contrast, turned in a very solid performance even though Alex Smith (QB - SF) left the game injured with 0 points, and the other QB, Drew Brees (QB - NO) was on a bye week. There was fairly solid scoring, even though hardly awe inspiring, around the Rossies squad, and Andre Davis (WR -HOU, 117 yards, 1 TD, 16.35 points) the Tampa Bay Defence (14 points) both broke the 10 point mark to set the Rossies on their way. Glenn Holt (WR - CIN) is in action tonight for the Rossies and will look to apply the coup de grace.

Crossmaglen Hitmen (1-2) 108.41 - 44.50 shane oneills (1-2)
A strong performance for the Hitmen against the QB backups and bye week stricken shane oneills will be good enough to even up their record at 2-2 as they hold a 63.50 point lead heading into monday night with only one man each to score. 5 Hitmen broke the 10 point barrier, with Dallas Clark (TE - IND) top scoring as he gained 18.80 points on 76 yards and 2 TDs. Clark was backed up to great effect by Jon Kitna (QB - DET, 247 yards, 2 TDs, 14.89 points), Brian Griese (QB - CHI, 286, 2 TDs, 14.12 points), Laverneus Coles (WR - NYJ, 65, 1 TD, 13.75 points) and Correll Buckhalter (RB - PHI, 103 yards, 10.90 points). The oneills had 3 players above 10 points, but suffered badly from a lack of scoring elsewhere as Braylon Edwards (WR - CLE, 97, 1 TD, 12.35 points), Edgerrin James (RB - ARI, 77 yards, 1 TD, 10.70 points) and the Packer Defence (10 points) failed to produce quite enough in a lonely battle. Jeff Wilkins (K, STL) again contribute negative points for the second time this season, which is quite a feat for a kicker. The Hitmen have New England Wide Receiver Wes Welker in action tonight as they bid to stretch their lead, while the oneills have Laurence Maroney (RB - NE), who is marked Questionable, down to appear.

Lurgan Langers (1-2) 95.12 - 88.48 Ballyhaise Broncos (1-2)
This is a final score as all players have appeared for both teams, and the Lurgan Langers are the team who even up their record at 2-2 as the Broncos drop to 1-3. It was far from easy for the Langers, though, as the 6 plus point winning margin would indicate. They can thank a couple of top performers, but mainly the huge night for Chicago Wideout Devin Hestor, as despite doing practically nothing on the offensive side of the ball, he again re-emphasised the benefit of a good kick returner as his 314 yards returning, including a TD, gave him a huge 33.35 points, and proved immense in this tight battle. Matt Hasselbeck (QB - SEA) provided a more run-of-the-mill 17.47 points with 281 yards and 2 TDs.  Despite the rest of the team having an off night, Hestor's points meant that the Langers management avoided potential embarrassment as 2 10 point plus men were left on the bench, Bobby Engram (WR-SEA) and Justin Fargas (RB -OAK). The Broncos were more balanced in terms of high scorers as Jay Cutler (QB - DEN, 131 yards, 1 TD, 1 rushing TD, 11.17 points), Joey Harrington (QB-ATL, 223 yards, 2 TDs, 16.41 points), Larry Johnson (RB - KC, 123 yards, 10.90 points) and Tony Gonzalez (TE-KC, 71 yards, 1 TD, 12.05 points) all broke the 10 point mark. The rest of the Broncos weren't able to contribute quite enough, but the Broncos can feel slightly unlucky to lose this one in the circumstances.

Red Hand Helmets (2-1) 86.53 - 96.48 Bet With Paddy Power (3-0)
Another tight game that has been concluded before Monday's matchup has gone to the Paddy Power squad, to move their record onto a perfect 4-0, although this time there was an element of luck about the win, and the points tally was some way off their high standards up until now. But for the Denver Bronco's defence capitulating against Indianapolis, the Helmets could be celebrating a famous victory, as the damage done by a -4 point return from a defence in a 10 point game is far more than simply knocking 4 points off the tally. Nonetheless, it is another valuable win for the Paddy Power squad, and once again Ronnie Brown (RB - MIA) is the main man to thank. The fish may be having a bad season, but Brown is having a good one, and his 21.35 points from 134 yards rushing with a TD, along with 73 receiving yards were once again the big point gatherer for the Powers. Jerry Porter (WR-OAK, 53 yards, 2 TDs) added 16.10 points, while Jeff Garcia (QB - TB) added another 10.02 points on 176 yards passing. Had the Helmets sneaked a win here, the Power Squad would have been fuming as they left Patrick Clayton (WR - DAL) warming the bench on a night he amassed 30.95 points for the Cowboys. On such lucky breaks are seasons made and broken. The Helmets kept in touch all the way through despite not having any marquee scorers, although Derek Anderson (QB - CLE, 204 yards, 2 TDs, 14.08 points) and Morten Anderson (K-ATL, 13 points) both managed more than 10 points.

Craigyhill Terrors (2-1) 83.46 - 39.61 Mayo Warriors (1-2)
A nightmare for Chargers' QB Philip Rivers (-1.78 points) hasn't hindered the Terrors too much, as they take a cushion of 44 points into tonight's game, and are warm favourites to move on to 3-1, even though the Warriors have 3 potential scorers to come, including the relentless Tom Brady (QB - NE). The Terrors had big performances from Matt Schaub (QB -HOU, 317, 1 TD, 15.29 points), LeDanian Tomlinson (RB - SD, 132, 1 TD, 18.70 points), Adrian Peterson (RB - MIN, 112 yards, 13.30 points) and Ryan Longwell, (K-MIN, 12 points). The Warriors will have been gutted that prolific Donovan McNabb (QB - PHI) was held to a measly 0.96 points against the Giants, as a decent score by McNabb would have made the target very achievable tonight, instead of a tough task. As it stands, only Robbie Gould (K-CHI, 10 points) and the Bears Defence (21 points), are the only ones who have got near the 10 point mark, but Brady, KEvin Faulk (RB - NE) and Rashad Baker (DB -NE) will all be hoping to gather the points to turn this one around for the Warriors.

Sydney's Sailors (0-3) 72.99 - 110.03 O'Neill's Chargers (2-1)
It looks very good for the Chargers as they bid to move on to 3-1 against the winless Sailors, and the Sailors were certainly not helped by 4 scoreless positions due to Bye weeks, although one of those was an 'NA' quarterback in any case. The players that were left for the Sailors actually performed pretty well, as Santonio Holmes (WR - PIT) top scored with 23.35 points on 128 yards and 2 TD receptions. Joseph Addai (RB - IND, 136, 1 TD, 16.80 points) and DeAngelo Williams (RB - CAR, 37 receiving, 1 TD, 11.05 points) also broke the 10 point mark to give the Sailors a respectable total in the circumstances. The Chargers were, themselves, not unaffected by bye weeks, as 2 positions, including a QB were out of action this week. In their absence, however, the remaining squad rose to the challenge, and no less than 6 positions have reache the magical 10 point marker thus far. Leading the way is the Seattle Defence with 22 points, but leading individual is the newly crowned all time Touchdown Passing King, Green Bay's QB Brett Favre. Favre has been reborn this season, following a couple of distinctly 'old man syndrome' years, and on Sunday he continued in this vein with 344 yards in the air, 2 TDs and 20.93 points. Also doing their bit were Reggie Wayne (WR, IND, 38, 1 TD, 10.40 points), Jason Witten (TE - DAL, 71, 1 TD, 12.55 points), Michael Jenkins (WR - ATL, 64 yards, 2 TDs, 18.20 points) and Nate Kaeding (K-SD, 12 points). It's not quite written into the history books yet, but as the Sailors can only call on Shayne Graham (K-CIN) to try and claw back the difference, the Chargers will be confident about staying well in front, especially as TJ Houshmandzadeh (WR-CIN) is appearing for them.

GalwayImpactPlayers (1-2) 60.40 - 84.23 Lummox Squad 57 (1-2)
A strange game is in progress here as, despite the relatively decent scores on the board, only 2 positions on each team have managed to break 10 points, and these scores almost cancel each other out. The Lummoxes had a huge night from Dante Hall (WR - STL) who benefited from the paucity of the Saint Louis Rams in his role as kickoff returner, which netted him 30.10 points from 262 return yards and a TD. This tally was almost cancelled out by a big night of 30 points from the Detroit Defence on the ImpactPlayers side. The ImpactPlayers could then call on Arizona Cardinal's wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald to add 11.65 points from 123 yards receiving. The Lummoxes then cancelled this out with 11 points from the Cleveland Defence. All very tight, and that was the end of the big scoring. The main difference between the teams which has translated into a 24 point lead for the Lummoxes is the QB position, which has plagued the ImpactPlayers all season so far. Despite the Lummoxes QBs being far from Stellar, Pennington (QB - NYJ) and Edwards(QB-BUF) managed 18.40 points between them, whereas the ImpactPlayers duo of Seneca Wallace (QB-SEA) and Brad Johnson (QB - DAL) only contributed 1.25 points in total. All is not completely lost yet, however, as the ImpactPlayers send Randy Moss (WR-NE) out to chase down the 24 point lead tonight, while the Lummoxes will be hoping that Jabar Gaffney (WR-NE) can do enough to keep them at arms length.

L'Esprit de Biff (3-0) 82.30 - 71.73 Cleveland Steamers (2-1)
A very, very interesting tie is under way here at the bottom of the list, as the undefeated Biffs are under real pressure as they attempt to maintain their perfect start to the season. Ordinarily a 10+ point lead would be a decent position to be in heading into the last game of the week, but the Biffs are all finished for the week, whereas the Steamers have two potential big scorers in Chad Johnson (WR-CIN) and Ben Watson (TE-NE) in action tonight, which makes them marginal favourites in this writer's eyes. As usual the Biffs had their fair share of 10 point performers with Mushin Muhammad (WR-CHI, 49 yards, 1 TD, 10.95 points), Desmond Clark (TE - CHI, 11.70 points), Josh Brown (K-SEA, 11 points) and the Eagles Defence (10 points) all doing well enough. The QB position is really hurting the Biffs though, and will probably cost them another title this year. 0 points again this week, although Garrard (QB-JAX) was on a bye week. The Steamers have put themselves in a position to strike thanks to just 2 players. Jerricho Cotcherry (WR - NYJ) contributed 11.20 points, but the main man was Daunte Culpepper (QB-OAK) who rubbed salt into the Biffs QB-Less wounds with 75 yards passing for 2 TDs, and 3 TDs from 28 yards rushing for 32.90 points. All eyes will be on this tie tonight to see if the Steamers can claim a really big scalp in the GAABoard Fantasy league.

Full results tomorrow.

Lets go Big Blue

2 wins in a row now - and Might Michael Strahan has taken sole possession of the Giants all-time sack leader ahead of the legendary LT

12 sacks on McNabb including 6 from Osi Umenyiora

heganboy

ah well now has he really?
LT's rookie season (9.5 sacks) wasn't counted in his total- so Strahan still has a bit to go...
