Newcastle getting humped...City Arsenal final should be tasty

An Watcher

Wouldn't bank on it.  2 brutal semi finals.  The aul soccerball is fairly dull these days.

Didn't watch any of it when I saw the score.  Did Howe get much criticism after the match?  He seems to be getting a pass from the English media. There's more chat about Slot losing his job than Howe......
Keep your pecker hard and your powder dry and the world will turn.

Probably because with the quality of the squad Howe is actually over achieving in recent seasons.

Quote from: statto on February 04, 2026, 08:18:04 AMArsenal did the hard work in the first leg.  Arteta playing with the handbrake on will catch them out in the Champions League eventually, but they should win the league at a canter now given how poor Liverpool and City have been this season.

As others have said the EPL is getting hard to watch.

Was it better last year?  ::)

The Champions last year played an attacking style of football and had an attacking player who was unplayable at times in the early part of the season particularly.  This years champions elect play with the handbrake on and rely on set pieces for goals.  Liverpool last year where a significantly better watch than Arsenal this year.

For the neutral, it wouldn't have been a great league as Liverpool won it at a canter, but they were far easier on the eye and good to watch.

Liverpool are still playing attacking football, just letting more in defence maybe this season

Long ball FC, Not as "attacking" this season without Trents long balls over the top for Salah to run onto.

Long Ball FC??

Right, because there is no difference between pinging long, quality passes into a player's path, whether over the top or between the backs, and Wimbledon/Allardyce/Jack Charlton-style lumping it up to the big man in the hope that that colleagues can win the second ball or the flick on.

The term good ball comes to mind.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Tottenham usually save their cup finals for Manchester. Never lose to Utd or City.

The Spurs captain Romero saw red on 30 minutes after he left his studs on the ankle of Casemiro who was writhing in agony. His 2nd red this season so will serve a 4 game ban now.

Man United took the lead with clever set piece goal. Half time 1-0
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

And him giving out about club not having enough players and now he misses 4 games.

Keith Andrews a strong contender for manager of the year?

Another good win this evening away to Newcastle moving Brentford onto 39 points which is pretty impressive considering all the top players they lost in the summer and were among the favourites to be relegated.
