#405
In the end Tipp deserved that

KK completely shat the bed there. The messing to give away the fourth goal was ridiculous from Deegan.

Fair play Tipp.

OakLeaf

Good win for Tipp but they'll need to cut out the mistakes if they're to get close to Cork.

Blowitupref

1-5 to 0-4 14 man Tipp outscored Kilkenny in the final 15 minutes of action.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

laoislad

The save from the corner back on the goal line at the end was super
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

gallsman

Was straight at him to be honest but he did well to cover.

Huge win for Tipp, regardless of the result in two weeks' time.

Captain Obvious

Regardless what happens against Cork next it's been some turnaround in a year by Tipperary. Last year they finished bottom in the Munster championship group without a win to their name.

Is it me though but is the standard gone to pot this year?
They get momentum, they go mad, here they go

DaleCooper

Im no judge but very poor second half.

Ger Loughnane would have enjoyed the INTENSITY but scrappy and messy for the neutral

I'm not saying it wasn't scrappy but when a team scored 30 points and loses by 3 it's safe to say the quality of shot selection was very good, and had both teams tidy'ed up their scrappy parts it would have been a better spectacle

Saffrongael

Looks like RTE & the scoreboard in Croke Park wrong, gave a point for McGraths late wide. Wondered why Kilkenny weee going for a goal with what looked like enough time to get three points
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

I thought that myself but wasn't sure. Would have been some craic then if they scored that goal at the end.

It's a yellow card offence
its very harsh.
Apart from that KK are pulling and dragging all the time and getting away with it
I didn't see the first yellow but it would have been a poor call not to give the 2nd one. That's definitely a yellow card. It's not the ref's job to keep it even.
Poor call on the other sending off incident though.

Huge win for Tipp. A lot of these teams are never that far away, even when they look it. They get themselves organised and they're capable of changing their fortunes very quickly.

Jeepers Creepers

Kilkenny can't complaint about the result. Neither team set the world alight. Cork will steam roll tipp if they play like that again.

For me it was a hugely enjoyable game.
Far less of the short handpassing (and throwing) that was Limerick's boring signature play.

Whatever about the quality (it was good enough in my view) it ebbed and flowed with the winner in doubt until the end.

And the goals Tipp created and scored - far more entertaining than watching a team rack up 30 points.

I've always been a great fan of Kilkenny hurling but like last year against Clare they left this one behind.
But a Cork-Tipp final is a first and one to really look forward to.
