Considering US has poured billions into funding the genocide in Gaza including burning civilians in their tents but put this fire on their territory out as a worse disaster, it is very relevant.

That's how media works. The big disaster on your own doorstep is bigger news than a bigger disaster half-way 'round the world. Now, I don't swallow it as a bigger disaster myself, but then, California...? Hollywood? Jews? Look, I wouldn't even know half the ones on the list, and I'm sure they all have another house or two. I don't celebrate that they lost their houses, but it doesn't break my heart, either. As for the poor Palestinians? I realise they're getting rightly fucked over, but I'm pretty indifferent because they are not our friends, either. And if I wanted to read all about it I'd go to the thread about it here - but I don't, and so I don't.
