Have the Ghost Estates disappered?
« on: April 14, 2019, 11:15:06 AM »
After the big meltdown 10 years ago, we were left with all these estates that were left unsold.  Were those houses sold or bought by local authorities for social housing?

On another point, I was in Dublin yesterday and I saw development in the industrial estates where Gateway etc. were used to operate.  Could these old factories around Dublin  e.g. Motorola, HP etc. not be repurposed or are Buildings owned by the old companies?  :-X

Was out for a long cycle today around Lough Neagh and we were discussing the very noticeable amount of new builds, houses for sale and apparently empty looking new houses. A very 'Bubble' looking situation - one that Brexit could take a very big pin to.

No. FG dont do social anything. The REITs bought most of them. The rest will go when nama reduces the prices
