I don't suppose anyone knows anything about them???

I need a new toy  ;D and I've decided on a telescope, only trouble is none of it makes any sense to me and I'm looking recommendations.

Or some advise on maturing...

astronomy.ie might be able to help you decide what you are looking for.

Pog i have a Galileo FS-102 Reflector telescope that i bought for about $400.00, it came with a mars viewfinder and also several different sizes of optical devices to look though depending on what you are looking at.

I suggest you look at astronomy magazines before you decide to but but a hundred quid wont buy you much these days.

you are also going to need a decent tripod as well and it is amazing to see the cosmos through a telescope and even the moon looks amazing when peered at through a telescope.

Stew I'm not spending much more than 100 because I'll could look through the thing twice and it'd sit in the corner with the rest of my toys.  If I do get into it then I can always get a better one later.

thanks muppet.

Would love to have a telescope, but living in NYC there isn't much point. I haven't seen the Milky Way since I was last home in Donegal!
