Easy way to change it, if it becomes too regular - make a rule that you can't score direct from a puckout.

It does indeed leave things a little farcical but I can't see it becoming a regular thing

There were 3 contributory factors in this case

Enda Rowland's exceptional ball striking
A strong breeze
A short pitch

But it's a simple fix tbf

I'm with you though marty, not difficult to enforce a rule on scoring direct from a puck out

What you've described there isn't direct from the puck out though, so how do you legislate against that?

Enda Rowland is well known for his long puck and it looks like he'd a bit of wind at his back.

Blame the opposition who were happy to sit deep and allow it to happen.

I don't think you'd need to legislate

The opposition would have to set up accordingly

It would be some weapon to have though

Like I said I didn't see it but have seen the keeper score with the wind at his back. The fix is simple but its rare enough, I'd say though if it gets plenty of views on social media they'll look at it lol

I suppose it gives bucks who can't kick a ball some role in the GAA ;D .

If it's lying on the ground.....
But if it's flying through the air, judge where you might be able to catch it , do so in the middle of 3 or 4 others, dodge all sorts of challenges, tear away on a solo run and then kick it over the bar on the run.

Does anyone know how many rule changes there were before the early 2000's and since then?
