People shouldn't be doing that but she should be attacked for her views. They are vile and she's not old enough that she should have such bitterness in her. Horrendous individual. How half these ones can look themselves in the eye I don't know. Generations of families ruined with this and it's all one big game.

I made the mistake of viewing her facebook page a while back, and although I don't follow her, her posts regularly pollute my feed.

Vile is the correct word to describe her.  My only hope for the future is that people like her are a dying breed.
I tend to think of myself as a one man wolfpack...

I wouldn't  count on it.

Lockhart was  born in 1985, and was  therefore only 13 when  the GFA was signed.

Jamie Bryson born  in 1990. He had even less  experience of  living through the troubles. Yet, these are your new generation, so to speak,  of unionist bigots.

It will take a long long time  for the bigotry to  disappear

And this is why a UI won't happen in my lifetime.. I'd say two or even 3 generations need to be died off before the hatred ceases.

People are spoon fed hate daily on social media.. remembering past, murders violet deaths and atrocities are still causing division.

No one is willing to move on
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Look-Up!

Social media is definitely a problem. Face to face interaction is definitely more socially skillful and respectful. Social media has degenerated into glib one liner BS and upmanship. It's debating mentality, take a position and defend it, but at a much crasser level.

It's in the name, loyalist and Unionists

I don't hear any change from any interactions I have with people on a daily basis

And Lockhart is a...

Is there any chance for the perjury charge to stick for the bastard?

Munchie

Government spent more than £4m on defence of Soldier F

There was never going to be any prosecution, absolutely sickening.

gallsman

What do you mean no prosecution? There's just been a trial FFS. No conviction?

Sure have a meltdown why don't you, yeah no conviction, my bad humblest apologies to the guardian of this board for my inappropriate use of the English language whilst being outraged about 4.3 million of taxpayers money being used to defend someone who everyone knows shot and killed innocent folk with impunity.

EDIT: They did try their very best for no prosecution, doubt there will be any more even on the perjury charge.

Has there been any more update on that? Probably take a long time to even decide whether it goes ahead, the bastard mightn't even live long enough.

Sickening is right.

I agree but who do you think is paying for the legal representatives of the the victim's families?  All no doubt would be pensioners so highly likely all funded by legal aid therefore the Government is paying everyone's costs.  In the case of the Soldier F no doubt the Government through a lot of resources at it and from what I can see the Bloody Sunday families did not employ the service of some randomn Solicitor in Derry either.

While there is no certainty regarding justice / closure for anyone there is certainty re legal fees.

imtommygunn

There was never really going to be a conviction here at all. It was still absolutely the right thing to do to bring this as far as it has gone and *maybe* there'll be some kind of prosecution for perjury etc.
