I'd be surprised if adeleke doesn't win gold. Think mawdsley not quite good enough for a medal though hope I am wrong.

Womens 4 x 400 will also be interesting. There may be a medal prospect there.

An Watcher

When will she be presented with the gold medal now?  Looking forward to that

Is the 400m final for women tomorrow?

imtommygunn

Tomorrow but no idea what time on both fronts... The relay presentation was 430 I think so presumably sometime round then. If you follow David gillick on twitter he's pretty good at putting up itineraries. Cathal dennehy too.

Sheedy

Brilliant run by Ciara, looked at one stage like she was going to get boxed in. Delighted for her, An Dun Abu!!

Gold

Incredible.  What a woman. Class, grace, desire and talent.

Best finish I've ever seen ......when do we ever get days like this? A wonder day!
"Cheeky Charlie McKenna..."

Hound

Superb run by Ciara and great interview afterwards (years of camogie helping shoulder through the two British girls!)

2050 for the women's 400m final tonight.

imtommygunn

She's a class act. Really looking forward to the 400m tonight too.

On a side note - Russia aren't banned due to Ukraine war they are banned due to "state sponsored doping".

Wait till you hear about (SIR) Dave Brailsforth and triamcinolone...

Great run by Ciara and nowhere near her best time at the 1500, not even close, but I suppose its all about getting over that line first and she did it.

Her Da wasn't over at it, happen to get talking to him earlier on in the day before the Munster final came on and he was really nervous for her before it as she'd just finished a block of altitude training and it's not entirely sure how or when you get the gains from that and according to him she felt it could be another while for that to kick in, but hey ho if there's more in her then roll on the Olympics.

Them finals are tactical so times a struggle but tbh in the end she was comfortable enough. Big aim I imagine would now be a medal at the olympics which is a massive ask but she was there or thereabouts in the worlds. I still do think there's a chance that at some point she gets a retrospective bronze for the worlds.

It's not often she's favourite and she was definitely nervous herself too.

This I could believe...

Class and you can understand that they'll need to be in Paris for the real event of the year, so its not always going to be the case that you can just go to every event.

My cousins lad in the same boat, away at all the gymnastic event around the world, impossible to afford to go to them all.

I'd Imagine that scene of her da running outside into the street is like a scene from a Roddy Doyle film
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Disappointed for Thomas Barr. Missed out on a place in the 400m hurdles final. Still he goes home with a gold from the 4*400m.

RTE news interviewed the Hunter at the Ports pitch with a primary school hurling and camogie blitz going on (Ballygalget PS won both  ;)  ) so that'll please him even more  ;D

weareros

Still a great run by Rhasidat - that race will stand to her going forward, maybe even as soon as the Olympics.

Great seeing Irish athletes getting medals, if they only won 1 silver overall it would have been great but a silver on top of two golds already in the bag is brilliant.
Tomorrow is not guaranteed
