Not true.  Anderson was an important part of a squad that won all of the above.  In addition he won two Portuguese league titles before he came over.  To compare him to Djemba x2 is just ignorant.  Anderson is a very talented player, just needs to add consistency and goals to his game.  On his day he is excellent (see performances vs Gerrard/Fabregas for reference)

completely shite may hav been a bit over the top, but well over-rated

in those two seasons how many goals has he got from an attacking midfield position?
how many games has he influenced by going on a great run and setting up a goal or playing a killer ball?

the only reason fergie is persisting with him is cos he paid something ridiculous like 18 million for him, if he had been a young english player coming throught the ranks he'd be sold long ago.
it doesnt matter that he's 21, at 21 fabreagas was captaining arsenal and running the midfield there. its a young mans game these days

nani isnt a great player but at least he is capable of the odd bit of magic

Anderson has only very occasionally played in an advanced midfield position.

Ferguson doesn't care about how much was paid for the player.  If he wasn't performing well or Fergie didn't see massive potential he would be moved on.  End of.

Fabregas is very much the exception and not the rule.  Look around the top clubs, who are the captains?
Man United - Neville (34), Liverpool - Gerrard (29), Chelsea - Terry (28)

even still, 0 goals and very few assists in over 2 years isnt good enough for a midfielder
my point about age wasnt that anderson should be uniteds captain, I was just pointing out that at 21 he's way behind a lot of players were at that age - Fabregas, Ireland, Young, Lennon, Fletcher even

Definitely not true for Ireland and Young, and debatable for Lennon and Fletcher. Not every player develops at the same rate or age. Anderson was 20 for most of last season. Look at where Drogba, Vidic, Evra, Ballack or Deco were at when they were 20.

More than that, he was 20 for 12 months  :P

I reckon this years league will be won with one of the lowest point totals ever.  I would expect Chelsea to take it but with the African Cup of nations next year I could see them struggling for a month or so.

In January when the African Cup of nations is on, Chelsea play Hull (a), Sunderland (h), Birmingham (h) and Burnley (a). Can't see them missing the African players too much.

Ah ok hadnt realised it was only those 4 games, I thought it was nearer 7 or 8 when the 10 day rule was enforced which I had read it would be for this tournament but maybe not

Company prints Hillsborough slur

Sports Direct printed a Manchester United shirt referring to the dead fans
A sports store chain has overhauled its policy on personalising football shirts after one was sold bearing a slogan mocking the Hillsborough Disaster.

Sports Direct printed a Manchester United top with "96" and "Not Enough" on, and an insult about Liverpudlians.
The company apologised and said "with immediate effect" shirts would only be printed with current footballers' names and numbers on.

The employee who took the order did not realise the insult, the firm added.
A man paid £55 for the shirt, from one of the company's 470 stores, with the reference to the 96 Liverpool fans who died at the Hillsborough stadium on 15 April 1989.
The supporters were crushed to death during Liverpool's FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest at the stadium in Sheffield.

It is an absolute disgrace and Sports Direct should be ashamed said Margaret Aspinall, of the Hillsborough Family Support Group
The insult came to light when images of the shirt were posted on the social networking site, Facebook.
The man's Facebook page has since been shut down.

Despite Sports Direct claiming the employee took the order "unknowingly", families of Hillsborough victims have said they are appalled.

Chairman of the Hillsborough Family Support Group, Margaret Aspinall, whose 18-year-old son James died, said: "I think Sports Direct are worse than the guy who wanted it put on the back of his shirt.
"Printing that message is like inciting trouble, it is an absolute disgrace and Sports Direct should be ashamed.
"It's 20 years down the line and I don't believe it possible someone printing football shirts wouldn't know what the message meant.

"Fans can go too far in their rivalry towards other clubs, and this is way over the line."
The sports chain is owned by Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley.

A company spokesman said: "As a result, Sports Direct has taken immediate action and changed the administration policy for printing football shirts across its store network."

Im surprised they didnt have this policy in for a while I remember a few years ago trying to get a top for my nephew with his name on it and JJB refusing to do it as it wasnt an official name.

Anderson isn't average??
i know, he's completely shite in my honest opinion

Yeah defo, sure he only has 2 premier leagues, a Champions League winners and runners up medal, a league cup medal and a FIFA World Club Cup medal to show for his first two seasons in England.  That and the fact that he's still 21.

Completely shite indeed.

I have to say, that is truly perfect for Chelsea.....it just might be their year!

Chelsea are certainly my tip this season. Missed Essien and Drogba for big chunks last year, and they are huge players for them. United are definitely worse than last year, but I'm sure they'll buy again before the window closes. Still hard to predict how Liverpool, Arsenal, City and Spurs will go. City and Spurs both look like they have great potential, I thought the Arse would struggle to get 4th this year but they've made a super start. I think Liverpool are stronger than United in most departments, but are dodgy at the back - still might have enough to pip Utd for 2nd. Of course any injuries to important players will be crucial and could change everything.

Arsenal were impressive but, strange at it mat seem, I still don't rate them. It was more of a case of Everton being unprepared than Arsenal being a world force. They will get 4th place easily, and will be a good battle for 3rd with Liverpool, but its between Chelsea and United for me with the highest points total(!)
Agree with you on everything else, well said.
