wherefromreferee?

I guess I could buy Darren Fletcher as he'd be a cert to start.  Heard of most of that team except Drinkwater.

Nice, if true, shows that at the end of it all it is just a game.

Rafa Benitez has made peace with Sir Alex Ferguson in a private letter.

The pair have been at loggerheads all year, but the Liverpool boss wrote to Fergie after the Manchester United manager's grandson was badly injured in a car crash.

Benitez, a father of two girls, wrote offering his help while 10-year-old Charlie Ferguson is at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.

An Anfield insider said: "There is an intense football rivalry between them, but that's all it is - a football rivalry. Everything that has been said has been designed to gain an edge on the pitch. But when it comes to matters like this, Rafa is a family man who understands exactly what Sir Alex is going through.

"He wants to help any way he can. Rafa knows how difficult it must be, and he feels for a fellow manager who he respects as a person and a family man himself."

Charlie underwent a six-hour operation following the crash in which his mother Nadine, ex-wife of Ferguson's son Darren, was also hurt earlier this month.

The relationship between Benitez and Ferguson broke down when the Liverpool manager launched an extraordinary attack on his rival at the turn of the year. They have since taken regular verbal swipes at each other.

But the letter will help build bridges and another source said: "Rafa wanted Sir Alex to know that if he or his family needed anything while the youngster was in Liverpool, they only had to ask."

United Team to play Hull:

                 Kuszack

Rafael   Neville   Brown   De Laet

Nani  Gibson  Fletcher   Welbeck

             Martin  Macheda

Delighted to see Martin get a start.  De Laet is one of the worst United reserve players I've ever seen, never mind firts teamers.  Hopefully he proves me wrong.

No Rio? I thought he had to prove his fitness for Rome today?
We'll win Ulster some day, not sure when.

Rio not even on the bench.  Still think he'll start in Rome.

C. Evans, Drinkwater and James on the bench.  Would love to see James getting a few minutes.  Out of the current group of youngsters (Welbeck and Macheda inc) I think He and the twins have the best chance of a long United career.

its me again

watched the game on sunday past what is gonna become of Nani at the end of the season??

i think he has loads of potenial but cant seem to get going Ronaldo was a slow starter too only real killer performance that stands out in his first season was against Millwall in FA cup final hardly world class opposition

does anybody think he has anything about him or is he just a pretender?

Don't think Nani has it for United. Could be like Forlan and might do really well back in Portugal or Spain but not good enough for United in my book. Ronaldo's early seasons were light years ahead of Nani's.

I disagree, it took ronaldo a year or 2 to get properly settled in, he wasnt that far ahead on Nani in his early years.
To be fair to Nani, he hasnt really got many full games this season, he done well at Hull on sunday i thought.
I wouldnt be surprised to see him go in the summer, although id like to see him given more of a chance..giggs and scholes arn't going to last another 10 years so we'll need backup from somewher.

Dont think Nani is up to the standard
He is ok as a squad player & to play in the Carling Cup but that is as far as it goes
