I think DeGea will go to Madrid in the end but Jose will use him as a bargaining chip to get Bale and/or Morata. I'd say Morata is the priority but Bale would be awesome.

Now's the time to dream, eh?

Do you reckon Rodriguez is in the picture at all?

Syferus

Donarumma can be got on a free next summer or likely at a reduced rate now given he's refused three contracts at Milan.

If Real have any sense they are serious about De Gea being off the table because they will both save a boatload of money and get a younger keeper who legitimately could be their starter for 15 years.

Looks like De Gea not going to Real! Happy Days!

All posturing at the minute, will still go..

With who coming the other way tho?

Who cares? As long as he goes. If Real are offering stupid money for an average keeper, bite the hand off them.

I'd take Bale in return though if I could.

Think he slightly better than average Benny

I don't think De Gea will go.  But for £65 million you would let him.  There are enough competent keepers out there that could replace him.  On the otherhand, Madrid don't have a goalkeeping problem so why the fuss over De Gea - is it simply because he is Spanish and they want a big name signing after last summers inactivity?  In saying that, I'm sure they will buy more than a few big names this summer.  I wouldn't have Rodriguez anywhere near Utd, overrated as hell.

Rodriguez would walk onto the current United team.

How did he get on with Jose....I assume Mourinho was manager at Real for some of Rodriguez time?

To answer StGallGAA - truthfully I haven't seen a lot of Rodriguez lately. I see very little soccer outside of United. I hadn't considered him but of course he is a quality player. I just think United have greater needs in other areas. United had no good midfield passer with vision bar Carrick which is a problem. Maybe for a Jose team you don't need that.

Does United need a player like James though? His best position is playing behind a centre or a no 10 as they call it these days and he's not exactly lightening quick. United need a centre forward, a wide player with pace, a left back, a centre mid and centre half before they need a player like James.

I'd say Woodward would like to sign him as he fits the bit of a big name but I just can't see Mourinho wanting him. I said at the time I thought Zlatans injury would affect Mourinho's plans this summer, buying a big name centre forward wasn't high on his agenda whilst he had Zlatan.

United may have bought big the last 3 summers but only one top player was bought in the 5 summers after Ronaldo left and RVP was 29. So much money wasted by Moyes & LVG on players we didn't need hasn't helped either, I'd blame Moyes more given he bought 2 players whom made a team lacking in pace even slower.

Bale is the same. All power and pace, but one-footed and technically very average. Real don't seem too pushed about holding onto him.

That went well in 2015/16.

Let De Gea go and play Zlatan Ibrahomovich in goals. He's a big lad and nothing much would get past him.

Megaman

Looking more and more likely that Morata will be coming in soon.

stew

Morate is by no means certain, United are struggling to land their top targets, Rashford is ready to be the main man but since Jose does not trust kids he will try and bring in a big name and set Rashford back a year or two in his development.

Martial looks to be moving on as I do not see him featuring much in the coming year, I hope I am wrong but Jose does not seem to have much in the way of time for him.
