Hughes has. Been brilliant with Stoke this season... Not in the reckoning for job after LVG is silly

Didn't pander to Ferguson after he left and the City thing still doesn't sit with a lot of fans

Well as a lad who watched him on 4/5 occasions he never left anything behind for the club... Has showed well in management too..

Van Gaal has the same look about him that Trapattoni had when managing the ROI. There for one last pay cheque, success would be a bonus - if not, then he gets a nice big wage to keep him and his own going for the rest of their lives.
Playing to a method that worked years ago and steadfastly refusing to change the dynamics of his team.

Mark Hughes hasn't done enough to be Manager of Manchester United. He's done a good job with Stoke, but is he any more impressive than David Moyes was? If they go after Mark Hughes or Steve Bruce or Ryan Giggs they will continue to stand still/fall back.

This is a vital appointment for United if they do let van Gaal go.

You'd almost think you didn't want them to continue to fall back...
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

The Stallion

Lol at never gave him a chance. A few of his transfers at City :

Wayne Bridge - £12m (left on a free after contract expiry)
Nigel de Jong - £18m (sold to AC Milan for £5m)
Robinho - £32.5m (sold to AC Milan for £15m)
Shaun Wright-Phillips - £9m (sold to QPR)
Gareth Barry - £12m
Joleon Lescott - £22m
Kolo Toure - £16m (went on a free to Liverpool)
Jo £19m - (signed for Internacional)
Tal Ben Haim £6m
Roque Santa Cruz £18m - (left at the end of his contract)

That's over 150 MILLION. If anything he was given too much time and definitely too much money.

Oh I do, but I'd prefer we get our own house in order. Us first and United second every year would suit me fine.

Would Mark Hughes be mentioned if he'd never played for United! Not a chance, the two best managers we've comfortably ever had never played for the club.

As predicted the next bad performance wasn't far away, 14 points from our last 13 games is a disgrace. If he'd gone after the Norwich game when he should have we'd be a lot closer to the top 4.

Looks like they won't sack him until we can't mathematically finish in the top 4 and he's totally ruined our season. He should quit but he won't, how Donald Love gets a game ahead of some of the other youngsters is beyond me; I watched a lot of the youth and u21 games and he's way down the list of lads who have a chance of making it. Fosu-Mensah is 3 years younger than him and impressed me a lot more than Love.

The arrogance of United fans continues to be breathtaking.
