With home Wolfsburg,PSV games to come United are on the verge of an early champions league exit.

Could definitely end up playing on Thursday nights!! Now you'd rather not waste your energy playing in that

Van Gaal, just go. That was brutal, again.

Second in the league?

They are awful to watch but they tend to get results

Second in the league for now. Arsenal and City play much better football then United, if Arsenal got more consisteny they could win the league.

It also says it all when Leicester are top, wouldn't be the case in Spain, Germany or Italy.

Shows you how crap the other teams are below the top four.... Poor league, as the results in Europe have shown in last few years

The other teams are scoring though. United have scored the least goals in the top 4  with 19 goals conceded 9. The next team with the same number of goals scored is in 8th place, Southampton. Liverpool in 9th place have 17 scored

Grinding out wins with all the money spent.

So you'd rather be mid table and scoring goals (obviously letting in a lot also) than second , hmmm... Ok that sounds right, aim high but consistently (25+years) fall flat on your face....

Utd are playing shite and still above City and Arsenal ( the only real contenders) Utd won't win the league playing this way ... Never will ... Unfortunately like all good things they come to end... May take another stroke of luck to get anywhere near their heights of the past..

Money spent is money spent, if you spend a lot of money but able to afford it, what odds, none of these teams are going to be bankrupt any day soon

well that was your first mistake SE

Poor again last night again with the tempo being extremely slow after the first 10/15mins. The team started with a real sense of purpose but as the game wore on and they didnt get the break through it became ponderous and slow which as we know doesnt get any sort of pressure built up.

Worrying again in the CM area, without Carrick there seemed to be no drive forward Mo and Basti seem to sit too deep and even then Mo got bypassed a few times. In games like this when the team were so on top possession wise, I dont understand why Basti doesnt play further forward and dictate the game from the opposition half, he has a great eye for a pass and through ball and in these games, it only needs one to walk away with the points.

Easy to blame the 2 in the middle, once again Rooney's mates on BT blame everyone bar him; Supposed to be our captain but when we crying out for a leader on the pitch in the last hour he went missing. He was supposed to be playing as no 10 until the last 15 minutes when he was switched but he offered nothing. I'm getting very tired of saying it but he is our biggest problem, there's no quality in his game any more. Herrera is a huge loss and all our best performances coincide with him playing.

When we're playing against opposition who are happy to sit back we need at least one attacking fullback. Young should have started at fullback or Blind should have played left back, he has far more quality on the ball then Rojo.

Depay, Martial & Lingard have probably about 40 United appearances between them, too much is expected of such inexperienced players and are bound to be inconsistent.
