The Worker

That was the softest sending off I have seen in a long time!

Yea horrible but what do you except from Phil Dowd!!

Gibson looks badly over weight...Fergie must be putting him in the shop window so someone might buy him in January, Can't think of any other reason for playing him

ross4life

Fergie's gamble of starting with Carrick CB,Valencia RB Gibson in midfield has paid off so far, the Wigan red card was harsh but 2-0 about right at HT.
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

phil dowd must have had a few £ on Berbatov to score a hat trick!

penalty decision was outside the box.

Fine result for a makeshift United line up good to see Berba back to last season's form. Playing well the goals are flying in,keeping clean sheets & joint top.

They are in second place.

imo the epl has declined at an alarming rate (despite the sky propaganda machine trying to tell us otherwise). when the worst utd team since 1989 are hammering teams 5-0 there is something badly wrong. the real utd is the one that got beat by basel and not good enough to progress in the champions league.

Fergie post match:  If we're top of the league or joint top with City by New Year's Day I'll be happy.

That will be some achievement when considered the amount of injuries all season, damaging derby defeat & CL knock out, even Minder will have to tip his hat to that.

Sky will always hype up their own product but PL is still one of the best leagues in Europe IMO Basel didn't play the real United, back then they were struggling for goals, one goal per game from what i remember. 45 points out of possible 54 is a decent total for the worst united team since 1989 don't you think?

Captain Obvious

To be fair both Manchester clubs have been accomplished in the league this season for whatever reason they couldn't bring that form into the champions league, it's up to Chelsea,Arsenal now to show the strength of the premier league & prove it's not over hyped.

Apart from 1998 its the most injury injury ravaged United team since 1989 yet they're sitting joint top with the most expensive team ever assembled in the history of football?

So how many leagues in Europe are better than the EPL in your lofty opinion?

Ferdinands back again..FFS....it must be in a bad way if its constantly going, would love to have a look at the MRI's.

Thought Park and Valenica played well today, serious amount of energy and pressure.

FA cup game takes on huge psychological significance now in the race for the league title.

Joint top ;D  great to see the haters out tonight. Refs getting money, poor quality league, bla bla bla. It all means UTD are coming good as predicted.  ;D

Thats something I dont get, Utd are not joint top, they are second. Why are some fans claiming otherwise?

Funny if you look on BBC text or sky sport they are talking about Utd going joint top with city! The fact that it is getting your attention pleases me.  ;D
