I can see Amorim being under an element of pressure next season if it doesent go great.
Na they've got away with that shite too long. It's not as though he's asking that much of them.

Been following United since 91/92, albeit my passion and interest has dwindled somewhat this last decade or so. But genuinely, that current squad, is the weakest I can remember in terms of sheer lack of high end quality.

Not sure on the quality element they are all individually good players, there just has been a real poor culture develop around the club that has accepted second best in a lot of aspects of the club. This has led to what we see out on the pitch currently.

Who are the high end quality players at the moment? Martinez? Amad?

Am surprised about the enthusiasm for Hojlund. I caught the last 20 mins of yesterday's game, turned on while Martinez was getting treatment. There was a throw in to United down the left. Hojlund definitely could have got it I thought but didn't appear overly interested let it roll out of play untouched 40 yards from where it was taken.

You could go through them all, most if not all are international players, so they are at a decent level.
I think it is more of a cultural rot which needs reset and I that RA understands this and is prepared to do it.

Rashford's departure is just the beginning I would think.

I don't think he'll  see a year in the job.  The cycle  of shite  will continue

Look at the transformation of Forest in a  few months. And Palace to a lesser extent. Same players practically.  Bournemouth look set up well, as do Brighton (Saturday excepted).

Why  can't that be achieved at United? Are the  players  incapable of  following a game plan?  Is there a game  plan?  What's that thing there? Are those my feet?

It's the culture and general lack of standards that have slowly crept in and taken root now since Fergie. That takes time to fix.

As for elite level players, who do you think could fit into a top top team out of them? Bruno, Amad? (Shaw obviously but wouldnt even count him as he's made of paper.) Maybe Martinez? Not sure if anyone else at present, likes of Yoro and Garnacho obviously full of potential.

That's pretty much the same transformation that happened to United under Solskjaer.

Forest and Bournemouth will regress to the mean soon enough.

Perhaps the biggest difference between them and United though on the downward curve is that Forest will sell on their players as they're regressing. United will instead award them lengthy contracts on wages that nobody else would pay.

statto

Will be interesting to see how Rashford plays at villa.Watched forest game at weekend Elanga a player not deemed to be good enough for Man u was outstanding.

Blowitupref

Reported tonight Lisandro Martínez season is over after he torn his ACL in yesterdays game.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

gallsman

Thankfully some United fans think Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof are the sorts of player who need to be kept around, so there's plenty of cover.

Armagh18

Massive loss. Suppose Mazouri could play as one of the 3, move Dalot to the right and play this new fella at lb?

What is wrong with that Shaw tosser? Any chance he gives us anything this year?

gawa316

Is it a massive loss though? Not like results have been good with him in there and his own form has been sketchy to say the least

Milltown Row2

Would have said it was massive a few weeks ago but he's actually played better
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.
