i dont pretend to be a great pundit

i think yesterday was enough to prove what is my opinion.

But crucial goals against Everton, Liverpool etc in recent years mean nothing then? You can suggest he may not warrant a place on the team, or even the squad, but to clla him crap is just foolish.

AZOffaly

Relatively crap then :D He's worth his place for most premiership teams, but comparing him with Vidic, Ferdinand or even Brown is not favourable to him, in my opinion.

He's not a crap player, and he was very good for Ireland in the last few games. His biggest weakness, especially with Ireland, seems to be his concentration levels. It's as if he gets very casual and expects to coast through games. He doesn't do that at United, and in fairness, he hasn't done it for Ireland over the last couple of games.

Crap is harsh on him, but in the Sky Sports era and style of analysis, everyting is exaggerated. Hence O'Shea is 'crap', Liverpool are 'crap', Ronaldo is 'a genius', Rooney is 'a genius and/or crap' and Berbatov is Berbatov.

Manucho's first 6 or 7 mins for the club there. Anyone see how it went?

Was talking to Fergie there and he wasnt happy with him.

Decent performance tonight. Disgraceful tackle by Pogatetz on Rodrigo Possebon. I hope the leg isn't broke. Any word on how he is?
We'll win Ulster some day, not sure when.

Manchester United have revealed that Rodrigo Possebon has not broken his leg as was first feared.

Possebon was carried off with a suspected broken leg following a horror tackle by Middlesbrough defender Emanuel Pogatetz during United's 3-1 win in the Carling Cup tie at Old Trafford.

Pogatetz was shown a straight red card for the foul as he caught the youngster with the dangerous tackle.

The young Brazilian required oxygen on the pitch as he received six minutes of treatment before being stretchered off.

Pogatetz's tackle infuriated United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who feared the 19-year-old had suffered a suspected broken leg.

However, after scans, the club have confirmed that Possebon has not sustained a broken leg and that he will undergo more scans to ascertain the full extent of the injury

"We can confirm that Rodrigo did not suffer a break to his right leg," read a statement on the club's official website.

"He was kept in hospital overnight for observation and to assess whether there was any ligament damage to his knee."

At the moment, however, everyone at the club is just pleased to hear that Possebon has not broken his leg.

Routine enough win today though the goals were a long time coming. Penalty was a terrible decision. Samuel won the ball and his trailing leg caused Ronaldo to fall but unbelievably Rob Styles awarded a penalty. Rooney got a good goal later after coming off the bench. Really United should have hit 4 or 5 but 2 will do. The team is still settling back into the groove with improvement expected from several including Ronaldo and Berbatov. Thought Fletcher was excellent today as was Neville. Need to stuff Aalborg during the week.

So Fergie, through gritted teeth, admits the penalty was a "poor decision" but reckons Styles turned them down for five pens last year and owes them another four. Poor decision by Styles but those kinds of decision are no surprise at Old Trafford, styles also wasnt helped by the way Ronaldo went sliding across the turf

Wise up
Without doubt it wasnt a penalty, but you cant put the blame on Robaldo.
He went down under a challenge, Samuel won the ball. Should have been play on.
It is the referee's fault, not Ronaldo's

Routine win that was to be expected
