Half Time in the second semi final. Awful stuff so far. Mostly retaining possession, and some of the basic skills have been shocking. Yet, when there is a quick attack, the score is on, but that has been few and far between.

Is the minors straight knock out now?

GTP

The black card looked like a pull down, should have grabbed the jersey or better still not foul since goal wasn't really on. Cavan needed someone to get hold of the keeper and tell him to put it to the wings he had length but going down the middle left them very open to the counter.
Unfortunately CM you aren't exaggerating how bad that was.
Second semi final awful, basic handling errors all over the place. No physical stuff at all.

Winner into the Ulster final loser into the tier 2 All-Ireland.

5 mins to play Derry 0-9 Donegal 0-9.  Same score 5 mins of added time to play.

Result Derry 0-10 Donegal 0-9. Winner in the 5th minute of added time.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

This game a rerun of the old rules to the extreme, brutal.

Derry get over the line but turgid stuff to watch.

Similiar style to Derry U20's. Hard to watch with a lot of talented players.

Brendan

Honestly don't understand how that could be such a hard watch, see better quality games watching the Club minors

I'll be kind and say maybe the two teams had similar styles, too much respect for each other and/or cancelled each other out but yeah hard to watch..

Black card was deserved. Dont understand how the 3rd goal was given considering it went over the bar.

Agree, over emphasis on systems, structures and tactics at these underage levels. We need to be more cavalier. In fairness young Mulholland and the sub Rocco Devlin were just that and were key to Derry's win imo.

Rocco Devlin had a big impact on the second half ,he is underage next year also and a very talented soccer player to boot ,and has already played for Dungannon Swift's first team

Final on Friday 29th at 19:15 in Letterkenny.
Doesn't seem a time and place selected to draw a crowd.

Donegal would be due a final at some level. Armagh gets more then enough games. A friday evening might not be great ,but is what it is.
