Not sure what our lads will be like - haven't heard any soundings.
For sure we'll be without three of the key players from the minor winning team of three years ago in Cillian Trayers, Tomas Farthing & Shay McGlinchey. Big losses all of them.

Joyce not allowing him to play with the U20s? Haven't seen odds yet but can imagine Mayo will be strong favourites to win the U20 Connacht championship after winning the last three U17 Connacht titles
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Mixed results in challenge games and an atrocious record at u20 over recent years, so there wouldn't be huge confidence in Mayo making it count.

Not into betting but I believe
the Rhus are roaring bookies' favourites.

8/11 , hardly roaring favs and one would argue they have this wrong , challenge game results have been atrocious according to what's been told , Derry supposed to have bate them by a dozen plus . Coleman's lads in hogan cup final on Monday so they won't be togged Wednesday anyway you'd imagine, Rio and Darragh beirne off the top of my head will sit it out, possibly a couple  more
Walk-in down mchale rd , sun out, summers day , game day . That's all .

Wouldn't read much into challenges. Of lot of those games played in quarters with all 30 plus players on the panels getting a run out and rules adjusted again since the last challenges also. Saying that Derry and Tyrone by all accounts are very strong again this year.

Would expect the majority of this Mayo starting U20 team to be the U17 team from 2022 the only Coleman's player from that team was Rio Mortimer as far as I know. Rightly favourites and will be surprise if Mayo don't win their first U20 Connacht title since 2018.

No he got a bad injury by all accounts in an u20 challenge match a few weeks ago. Definitely won't be fit to feature for the 20's campaign anyway

That's a shame would still U20 again next year I believe.

Teams for the two U20 Games.  MacHale Park game is live on Youtube and other game in Cloone will be streamed by the Connacht GAA.

An interesting selection from a Galway perspective.  Considering how the U19 championship played out in Galway last year, its somewhat surprising that Oranmore have no one capable of making that team.  McGlinchey is a huge loss and looks like he will be out for an extended period of time as I believe his injury is quite serious. Best of luck to Derek and the lads.

I noticed Oranmore's Harry Keady is in the squad but doesn't even make the team or subs. In last year's U19A final he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile. Seems very strange to me unless he's injured which is possible I suppose.

Half time Mayo 1-8 Roscommon 0-9 Strong finish to the half by Mayo as it was 8-4 to the rossies. Goal a rather lucky one as it was a point effort that came off the crossbar.

FT Mayo 1-15 Roscommon 0-13

It was a 10 point beating in reality but the Rhubarb wide kicking tradition kept the margin down thankfully.
