An outbreak of Martin Brehenyism?
I see he was naming the best 100 Dublin players recently.
How about the best redheaded team of the last 20 years?
1 BIG CUP and 1 Cupeen so far....

Has it been that bad a decade for midfielders? David zmoran has had about 1.5 good seasons in the past decade.

Angelo I am impressed you have no Tyrone players on there! I think this is a good team too. Maybe mcglynn I wouldn’t have on it but rest good for me. Marc O’Shea possibly in for mcglynn. Though I am getting old so he may have retired earlier than I remember lol.

McCarthy you picked has played as much if not more in defence. Not the best of decades for midfielders. A few journalists have selected A O'Shea in their midfield even though he played the majority of the time in the Mayo forward line.

Not the best of decades for variety. Cork, Donegal, Kerry and 7x Dublin
Plus Mayo who got to 4 finals

Well Dublin won 7 of the 10 titles available. Cork won one and as good as vanished after that. Kerry got handed one in 2014. Donegal won one and gradually declined after that. And Mayo, Jez they'd won't win one if it was a one horse race!

Could be a lot worse for Mayo. 60s, 70s no All Ireland final was reached.

Between 1955 and 1981 Mayo won two Connacht titles!

Anyway enough of this rubbish. Back to the Real important dealings of picking the team of the decade!

Admittedly a Mayo bias to my team, however Higgins, Keegan and Boyle have 4 All Stars each, AOS 3 and Moran 2 plus FOTY.

S Cluxton
J Cooper
M Fitzsimons
K Higgins
L Keegan
C Boyle
J McCaffrey
B Fenton
A O'Shea / M Murphy
P Flynn
M Murphy / A O'Shea
C Kilkenny
B Brogan
A Moran
C Cooper

Unlucky to miss out - McCarthy, Lacey, N McGee, McManus
Hasta la victoria siempre
