I think he was being sarcastic mate given that Lisburn you know, isn't exactly the GAA capital of the world given its demographic

Lisburn made the JFC final last year too, wouldn't be a GAA stronghold.

Lisburn I believe have gained a few from St Johns and St Pauls.

What's the odds Lisburn council host a reception for the team if they win the junior title?

Fair play to Lisburn. Would they’re be any sort of cross community make up of its membership?

Lisburn I believe have gained a few from St Johns and St Pauls.

14 starters played underage football for lisburn.
Squad of 30 players .
2 come from a city club.
3  come from outside  the county

They've lost 8 players to club transfers ..of which only two have continued to play football at senior level

Didn't the local DUP councillor kick a few points one time at the Gaelic pitches in Lisburn  8)

It was a DUP minister, but who's to say that the visit was only arranged in terms of eyeing up the pitch for a future land deal for party colleagues on Lisburn & Castlereagh Council, who seem to have 'form' in the planning arena?

Is that McAnespie's Club? Monaghan always seem to have Junior winners with County reps. It was the same last year.

Aye, he's one of two Monaghan regulars that played in the Junior ranks this season Fintan Kelly of Clones the other. He may be replaced by Karl O'Connell as Tyholland are in the bottom 2 with only one game left although they're in semis of championship which if they win they can't be relegated.

Incidentally Clontibret, Conor McManus and all are in a very precarious position in the senior league with only two rounds left and no championship to fall back on..

Yes Ryan McAnespie plays for Emyvale.  Barry Kerr was on the Cremartin team that lost the final and he was on the bench for Monaghan in this years All Ireland Semi final.  I suppose with only 29 clubs there is always a possibility of an odd county player playing in the junior ranks each year.
