The Kerry hatred/begrudgery towards Ulster isn't confined to Spillane. Seems to do their heads in when they lose to any Ulster team. Last year many of them on about how they won the All Ireland final ..and the Ulster championship because of the teams they beat. Worst shower of begrudgers and Spillane top of that pile. Makes beating them all the sweeter though.

Give a listen to last week's Indo GAA podcast. The presenter from Derry is excellent. Spillane brings every discussion back to a nauseating Kerry love in, while a Dick Clerkin as usual cannot contain his disdain for all things Armagh. ( this week it's McGeeney's post interview sarcasm.)

At least Spillane can have some basis for a Kerry love-in. Clerkin can hardly have a Monaghan love-in, so all he can do is slag Armagh.

He openly admitted that he was jealous of this Armagh team as they had won an AI and the Monaghan team that he was on didn't.

I am calling BS in advance, because there will be lads coming out with how Jimmy didn't want to reveal his hand if they lose to Kerry. The bigger picture is later in he summer and he has new tricks up his sleeve, etc, etc...

But surely winning a national final and winning the match today is the main thing.

Fuckin hell lads, yez are obsessed.

Jim is extremely good at what he does. We're enjoying this period while we have him. He's brought us to an Ulster Final in every single season, as well as three AI finals, unprecedented stuff for a Donegal manager.

He's also human and up against other highly capable managers. He's not going to get it right every day.

Calm down.
