Argentina not in good shape.

Would remind you of Liverpool at Old Trafford or in the CL final. Totally clueless.

And now also humiliated in the same way! Lots of similarities beyond the joke goalkeeping. Messi carrying a team largely  made up of average joes just like Salah.

You watch life through a strange filter.

Hard to fathom how argentina are so rubbish with their players. Despite that goalie mistake it was a fantastic finish.

Some nasty enough tackles in that game.

Why is it a surprise? The internal going ons have been well reported, they needed a last ditch game to qualify! Trouble with managers and players!

I picked them regardless for tonight thinking that this was the game they needed to win! Pants
Anything I post is not the view of the County Board!! Nobody died in the making of this post ;-)

Are you going to make the same "joke" everytime a Goalkeeper makes a mistake?

Never mind the mistake from the keeper anyway. It was a top class finish.
The only joke was using concussion as an excuse. 2nd goal there a top class finish without the need of any error on route.

So you weren't joking with your statement?

Yes so they've now resorted to a black taxi driver as manager.

A Brazilian guy I know through work told me before the start of the tournament that he didn't think any South American sides would reach the quarter finals.  I thought he was off his head.  Maybe he knows something.

Hope this confirms Messi is no Pele when it comes to the World Stage.

Diego carried worse teams over the line in a World Cup.

In saying that Croatia are a fine team and I've always liked the neat and tidy Modric.
Rakitic, Mandzuckic and Perisic are good footballers in anyone's language.

They'll take some beating.

The same Messi who dragged Argentina to the WC final in 2014 and won player of the tournament and only lost the final to a goal in extra time? That Messi.

We certainly live in a world of now.

That was a ridiculous FIFA PR decision, Messi wasn't in the top 10 players in 2014.

Yea Messi is all PR. Must have been PR that knocked Portugal out in the group stages that year too!

Arg need a draw between Iceland and Nigeria. Or a Nigeria win.
It could happen. Then a Michael Bond scenario if they dump the manager and a rerun of Offaly 98 could happen
Otherwise they may be on the way home soon

Didn't say that.  And what has Portugal going out at the group stages in 2014 got to do with the price of fish??
