I thought the black card was a joke! The Tyrone player ran into Murray and boxed him in the head only for Murray to get the black card??!!

You'd be a fool to refuse free money. Do we really care that some insurance company wants there name stuck in there?

As long as its not Allianz!
100% agree - its easy money and mutually beneficial to a local company.
not the only county to do this. Armagh has Boxit (I think), for example.

Absolutely a positive thing for Derry GAA, same as the money we're getting from Derry City for the use of our facilities. A considerable amount of easy money that can be put to good use for doing very little.

If that's the incident the black card was for - 100% agree. I assumed it had to be for something else that I didnt see.

Good move by Derry GAA. Handy money for the 2 stadiums.

Every county will the same in a few years. A no brainer.

There's not many county grounds that aren't sponsored now.

Naming the grounds L'Derry Gaelic Grounds (the L is silent)

Wildweasel74

Ground naming should been done yrs ago.

There was a business networking thing at Owenbeg recently, assuming the sponsorship thing came from that. Handy money for a bit of signage, they'd be foolish not to.
