Here we can see the whole Mckenna panel for Monaghan in the papers. Us not naming a panel didnt really help much the past 2 yrs did it!! If we learned from previous McKenna outings we were alway too near full strength, and need to try a number of players to strengthen the panel like Armagh done past 3/4 yrs.

Maghera was Black

Declan Bogue has just tonight revealed that Rian O'Neill is not in the Armagh 2026 panel and Peter Harte isn't in the Tyrone 2026 panel only because he quizzed the management teams after the first round McKenna cup match not because Armagh or Tyrone had squad lists in the Irish News. Do Kerry, the Dubs, Galway have squads released?

What we did have in last two years was a circus around managers and then once appointed they were doing interviews with every newspaper, podcast whoever else asked.
There's no duty to entertain the media or give people so small talk incentives. We'll talk about our first outing on Sunday evening.

Ryan McNicholl playing good direct football today, heavy pitch didn't make for much of a spectacle, can assume he will be called on again for senior. Donegal 15 for Sunday

Derryfan93

Very strong Donegal team for tomorrow, I think 12 played in the all Ireland final and Roarty on the bench

I'll reserve judgement until after the next match big dry pitch and plenty of space.

Conditions weren't good but I thought it was an awfully poor game, decided only on who had the weakest goalkeeper. Glenullin were bigger and more physical. Didn't seem to be any wind but anything outside 25/30 yards wasn't even an attempt to kick.
Semi finals are for winning but and thats what they done

McNicholl be the best player in Ulster if he had feet, serious speed and hard running and can get goals, but needs to start adding the easy points to his game, missed a sitter near the end only about 10m out, but if he can sort out his point taking, he could be a serious player for Derry.

Wonder if the match will still go ahead today?

It's going ahead after a pitch inspection there, but don't tell anyone else, seems to be a secret 😁
