The Gallagher second coming (if it happens) is doomed to failure. There will be pressure on that team and management like never before to deliver something. That and all the outside goings on with Gallagher make it far too much of a pressure cooker, and something will give which never ends well.

I like the idea of Gilligan and Meenagh. That's a ticket I'd back. I just really hope of County Board has something in the works, otherwise they need a refresh at the top too.

Don't think so, draw was to be at the end of July from weeks ago

Can't see that happening. It would split the county down the middle. He's toxic at this stage.

Didn't see that news coming! Yet again I don't see any internal 'derry' candidates capable of taking the role. Gilligan and Muldoon the closest but even then I don't know if they've ever been in the lead role. Paddy Bradley or Johnny McBride, both unlikely. Same with Barry Dillon.

The Dungiven manager probably the closest thing we have but he's a few years away, hugely promising though

I think a good start would be Meenagh with Deets in the coaching staff, and then fill in with Meenagh's own men.

Who's he and what you basing that on?

Why did Meenagh not continue when he took over from Gallagher? Done decent at the time.

It's a good question. My guess is that he felt that it was too much of a poisoned chalice. I think we're less of a basket case now 😀

It was because of work commitments

He is a teacher, not a profession I would associate with onerous work committments.....

McNicholl.. Something makes me think he was previously Derry minor manager? Cahair did an interview with him last year seemed impressive.

He joined the Down backroom team. Still a commitment with travel.

You'd have to think McMahon is the leading candidate considering he basically had the job before Tally came in. I'd agree with the above, get meenagh & deets involved with whatever Manager comes in

Keyser soze

Don't know much about McMahon as a manager but if his efforts at punditry are any reflection of his knowledge of the game he would be hard pressed to get a club underage gig.

They can't be getting rid of Tally for a rookie manager who hasn't even taken a club team! McMahon just took the Naas job a few weeks ago so I can't see him being in the running.
