Real Talk

Can't see us getting much possession out of the Dublin KO's because of the Cluxton factor. We need to be very quick and focused to push up on their KO's without leaving glaring gaps in our defensive structure.
Our management hopefully will study the Armagh/Dublin game

Toner is nearly needed for successful pressing, only good thing is newry is one of the smaller pitches which I think suits us abit better

As daft as it might sound I think Cluxton is fast becoming a weak link for Dublin, when forwards press his kickouts he kicks a few over sidelines etc. Armagh had great joy out of this.

Can see CD getting the Kilkenny job and if we manage to limit Con (if he plays) to less that 5 points we've massive chance. Glass and Rogers are far stronger than what they have. In the league Bugler, Howard and Scully had free run of a massive pitch. Newry doesn't suit them.

Really hope we get good crowd down, right from the start against Galway the noise was great even though the attendance wasn't massive. You'd think it would give any team a lift.

Not daft at all Ryan O, I agree totally. I think if we show the same intensity in our press on cluxtons kickouts as we did for first 60 mins vs galway then I expect us to win the game. Kickouts are going to be the winning of this game. I'd imagine the lads will be buzzing for this game. Theyl be disappointed to have threw away the lead against galway but I'm sure theyl have lots of positives. We looked like the real Derry we got to know for 3/4 years. I really hope we get big derry turnout sat night in newry and it kick-starts our year. A win over dublin Saturday night lifts the cloud hanging over us and the last year will be forgotten about. With a bit of luck armagh beat galway, we beat the dubs and that sets us up with a home time in prelims. About time this team had a bit of luck

Dublin will bring a big support on Saturday night, it's only an hour on the train so I'd say they'll outnumber us. We'll need to bring the noise, the support when the team walked off at half time against Galway was incredible and we'll need to do it again in Newry - it must have spurred them on. This team can do it.

OakLeaf

Lynch named to start, and Clucky on the bench.

Champion The Wonder Horse

Brendan Cawley refereeing.

That's the season over.

screenexile

That's our strongest panel in a long time. Only Marty Bradley and McKinless missing let's hope we continue the form from the Galway game and we won't be far away.

You'd imagine if Con is fit at all he'd start.

Better weather than the 93 Ulster final. I will take getting wet if we win this evening and go along the same path.

This game dec go ahead? Aint called the Marshes for nothing

oakleaflad

Odhran Lynch out of Dublin game. Regan will wear #1 with McKinless likely starting.

Gutted. The kickouts were probably the difference. Some effort

jb77

To come so close yet losing so much on the kick outs might be impressive in a way, but I hope we stop pissing away such a great generation soon. Brendan and Gareth aren't getting any younger and that calibre is hard come by
