Derry distributed 1500 tickets for the game yesterday.1500 Derry people out of a crowd of over 15,000 less than 10%. So much for the ticket scramble for last year's game.

Are u sure it was as little as that? Know there very little Derry people at it, but i thought we had 20%  of a crowd, I was on the side terrace, so couldn't really see, judging maybe more by the stand.know it was mostly Donegal behind both goals.

According to Declan Bogue writing today that was the total Derry support. We were on the terrace and could tell if Derry scored before a flag was raised because not one person behind moved an inch.

I know fans who got their tickets on Ticketmaster.

A number of factors in that - every county has a drop off in supporter numbers when not going well.
Tyrone for example, had low attendances for a couple of years there as things were not going well, but have now started to pick up as the team is improving.
Last years games was in a more central location, still suiting Donegal fans but much closer to the majority of Derry fans.
Derry also potentially missing key players so you're buying tickets to a game where you might only see a reserve side - so I understand the lower attendance from Derry.

Donegal on the other hand have expectations of winning Ulster and an AI which brings out all the supporters. I was chatting to a guy in Ballybofey who travelled up from Cork on the morning of the game as the excitement is growing.

I did think there was more than 1500 Derry fans there though, there were plenty around where I was sitting and I met plenty outside the grounds. But yes, we were very quiet.
I don't get my tickets via Derry as I don't live there any more so perhaps there are others like me.

Circumstances change and I'd imagine as the team starts improving and we get key players back fit and playing well, so that we become more competitive, numbers will go up again.

There was barely 1500 Donegal fans at their home qualfier against Derry, in Ballybofey 2 years ago. There didn't seem to be many Derry fans around the Villa rose or on the streets.

Back at it tomorrow night with the U20s. Interested to see who might be able to step into the panel come the group stages.

Forbes played last year vs. Mayo if memory serves me correctly. Campbell the goalie surely be in with a shout too.

Armagh v Monaghan is listed as being on TG4 You Tube - nothing for Derry Cavan (Ulster GAA twitter / X account)

I've watched last two games on the dodgy box.

Both previous games streamed by Ulster GAA, this one wasn't. Don't think the dodgy box will deliver this evening.
Hopefully the footballers will.

There's usually a load of Asians on Facebook streaming live GAA games.. How civil is that?
