Buying GAA Medals
« on: January 06, 2017, 01:10:02 PM »
With the dominance of the Dubs in the football, and it likely to continue into the next fifteen years, I am asking anyone who has resorted to buying medals and who visits any of the sites like EBay, Adverts.ie, Amazon to keep an eye out for the following:   2016 All-Ireland Club Football Final medal, Leinster Club Football Final Medal and Dublin SF Championship Final Medal.  These were taken Christmas week.   (Unlikely to be in Laois, we don't need medals, only in it for the fun)
Thanks very much.

Maybe the Dub County Board or AIB will see this and go into Joe Duffy mode and replace them under the circumstances of which they were stolen.

Not another Dublin thread.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Pictures of the medals. Serious amount of these thefts, break ins to houses and sheds and cars being taken going on in Dublin at the moment. We were done on Easter Sunday last year, came back to house turned inside out, great way for the lads to commemorate the Rising.  >:(

Maybe not the best idea to leave a sticker that says '9 carat gold' on it.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Would one that said 'Milk chocolate' faired better?

No, not another Dublin thread, you are right. Not even a thread you have to reply to, just if you see the medals advertised give us a shout, thats all.
I'll check out the adverts in the Northern Standard, The Argus and  Gay Porn Senitel (popular in Tyrone).
If I see anything suspicious I'll send you a Gaaboard private message, are you linked into the Gaaboard emergency contact service?

Bud - was sorry to hear about this. Hopefully the medals can be returned to their owner ASAP. Tell him the lads are asking for him.  ;)

This isn't a wind up Main Street. The medals belong to Conal Keaney, who used to (still does?) work with Bud.

It on Keaney's twitter account and been reported in a good few media outlets at this stage.
I'd hazard a guess that news really gutted Bud in a bad way,  enough to inspire this heart felt wind up.

Don't be a dick Main Street. You're off base on this one. As I said, Bud works, or worked, with Keaney and would know him well. Conal helped us out with the Golf thing we did a few years ago. This is legit.
