Stradbally beat Portlaoise today. Goal in the last few seconds to win it.

Kieran Mc Keever the new manager ?.

Yesterday Maghery showed that commitment and fluency rather than individual brilliance can prove a cocktail for success.
In front of 6,390 fans, they put decades of frustration behind them to come up trumps and in the process several players gave watching orchard county team boss Kieran McKeever a nudge that their credentials might be worth considering when he comes to naming his 2017 panel.

Updates after a very busy day yesterday.

Leinster:

Louth - Sean O'Mahony's are champions

Laois - Stradbally shocked Portlaoise with a last minute goal, winning 2-10 to 1-12
Offaly - Rhode proved too good on the day for a young Ferbane team, winning 1-14 to 0-09.
Westmeath - Into the Final. Tyrellspass will play Saint Lomans.

First time I'd watched Maghery in the flesh for over a year, looked like a totally different team, they used to be very hard on the eye imo, always overly defensive but Shane McConville seems to have added a new dimension, couple of the younger lads coming through really look top drawer as well.  Armagh now have 4 good solid Senior Club sides in Cross, Maghery, Cullyhanna & Harps.  Crossmaglen's years of cakewalking the County Championship are hopefully at an end, can only be good for the County as well.

Clear gap between these 4 and the others. But competition is good for the clubs and the county.

Who beat the AI champions, Dublin a highly competitive championship. You'd expect Vincents or Ballymun, who are in the other quarter finals tonight, to win it though.
Westmeath - Home of the Christy Ring Cup...

It was only a few years ago Castleknock were playing Junior football.
