Laois Rising

10 Harps players on the u20 hurling panel this year. It highlights the weaknesses and lack of depth in the club scene in the county at the moment. It's fantastic for the Harps but there is no way any club should have that amount of representation on a county panel if the club scene was healthy. The playing numbers in many of our hurling clubs are dwindling. I do feel there will be need to a review of the underage club scene in the coming years and structures put in place to ensure the survival of clubs and to maintain and ensure a healthy, competitive underage championships. At present, we have too many ad hoc arrangements that change from year to year. The Harps are a well run club but if things continue as they are they will face little or no competition for many championships in juvenile age grades as other clubs struggle numbers wise to be truly competitive.

Mountrath won U13 final last year camross won u15 final Ctown won U17 final Harps got to U13 final and that was it. How many of that 10 will hurl senior for the Harps this year or next year.

Cbolla in the C (third tier of 15 hurling) Made up of 4 main lads but strong enough to get somewhere in it

Ogie

They are in the B and will go close to winning the B,
Ballacolla have 4 on the U15 County Squad and Mountrath have 3, those 7 will not be on the Club U17 Team, a joke

I'm just looking at u15 B results in the league this year.
What are Abbeyleix at?
It appears to be the third tier

Ctown won a minor A hurling final last year with 5 under 15s starting and another one came on and got a goal.

What is this assumption based off?
I'd fully expect lads Un15 to play.

Nothing came of it but I know that a minor arrangement with Colt/Shanahoe was discussed, Cbcolla had one Un14 and roughly a half-dozen Un15s available for minor, four of them played minor last year.

They weren't interested in an U15 arrangement as they have decent numbers at Un13.

I think CB and Colt/Shanahoe will eventually form an arrangement at underage. There's a link there with camogie and lgfa and both are struggling with numbers at lower grades.

Yes that's a joke. Fung have dropped 52 points per game on average so far. Should be in 1B and capable of winning that.

Aleix scored 10.20 last last and 9.27 in there first game not very fair on other teams in that league.

They hurled the Clonad/Trumera u15s in a challenge match before the league and walked them. C/T only scored 1-3 and are a division above them.

How could Mountrath have 2 x 15 year olds transfer in?
Where did they come from??!

Genocide Organ

One of them's an African who transferred from Portlaoise.

His ethnicity is relevant how?

Baile Brigin you're just a wum and shit stirrer.

8 pages of your posts on this forum going back to March 13th and not one post about a GAA match, a Gaa club or county.

Why are you bothering to visit a Gaa forum let alone the Laois page.

Your opinion is irrelevant here so head off to where you came from.

The real glory is being knocked to your knees and then coming back. That's real glory. VinceLombardi
