Hockeyed the Dubs in the semi-final as well, which resulted in them coming up with a completely different style of play and dominating football for the next 50 years.

That Leinster win and the subsequent curse by the old Louth spinster behind the goals could haunt Meath football for 50 years. What was it she said... "Not until the hill has a roof will Meath win another cup there" scary!

Jaysus, when you think about managers trying blankets, short kickouts, strength and conditioning, dietitians, video analysis, centres of excellence to be successful, when all they need is a right good curse put on everyone else.

The rule used for Offaly to get a replay was along the lines of if a game is unfinished you replay it.

Sheridan almost managed to connect with the ball with his foot and there looked to be a foul on him where a Louth player used his feet to push Sheridan's shoulder down as he tried to kick it.
Wrong decision to award the goal, but the hoo-haa over the whole affair was well overdone.
Almost every tight game will have debatable calls. Louth's misfortune was that it happened at the very end with no time to make amends.

I can't find this on the tg4 website. Anyone got a link to it?

The Trevor Giles Laochra Gael episode was great, there were so many small things he did in those games that you'd forget but amount to so much. Shame he didn't get another all Ireland in 2001 but we didn't deserve it on the day.
