Joe Cannings goal was unbelievable allright.

Personally for me the point of the year was actually a Galway point as well.

Scored by Shane Walsh for Galway against Donegal when he came on. In second half he took the ball up the left wing at pace soloing it on the right foot. And without breaking stride he smacked it over the bar from 40 yards out on the wing with his left foot. Essentially he got tired/bored soloing on his right and decided to put it over the bar with his left. I never saw anything like it considering it was done without him changing or adjusting his pace for the shot.

Admittedly the game was over but it would be great to see that score again. Would anyone have a vimeo or any idea where to see it? I think it was midway through the second half of the 1/4 final.

I haven't seen it on youtube either. And it wasn't in the match highlights (probably because the game was over at that stage). However as far as the score goes I wont ever forget it. Also I think it was Walshs first game back as well since the accident. Someone must remember it. Its some score I can tell you.

I remember it alright, fine score typical of the scorer's insouciance, particularly considering Walsh wasn't too long on the field (and about 10 minutes too late). Afraid 2016 won't be bringing too many good scores from Galway (football) forwards the way things seem to be going.

Sure it wouldn't be you if you were positive!

Think even after 1 year in, Big Kev needs a total overhaul and new approach to the squad. Donegal are probably in decline but still beat us handily enough by increasing the pressure moderately. Distinct lack of world class players in Galway these days and those that are there are not playing with much brio either. Bit like MU under LVG.  Anyway, 'tis for another thread.

This is a clinker, former Cork dual Jen Curry (formerly O'Leary) for Middletown against Madden in the Armagh county Camogie final.

Some run! It is great that Armagh TV provides a record of such things.

Getting into D1 would be progress.I wish Mayo would win their All Ireland and leave the scene to a crowd of younger players. It's like the hotel california in Connacht.

Maguire01

Conor McManus v Donegal in the Ulster Final. The noise from the crowd for this was massive.

An Watcher

There was a point at the weekend in the Ulster club final. A scotstown fella cut in from the right and put the ball over the bar with the outside of his right boot. A great score but considering the conditions makes it even better.

Croí na hÉireann

Goal of the year has to come from game of the year, hell even McMahon's goal wasn't bad.
