Padraig Moran (Tubber) and Adam Mangan (Kilclonfert) RIP

An awful week for Offaly GAA with the news that Padraig Moran, from Tubber, a guard up in Dublin drowned on Monday in the Liffey. Padraig was 46, and a member of the Offaly All Ireland U21 team in 1988. I played against him up in Offaly, he was just 4 years older than myself. Shocking news to read today in the paper.

And then we had the horrific incident with Adam Mangan, from Kilclonfert, who died in an accident near Rhode. Adam was a young lad on two Offaly minor panels, and had played rugby for Leinster as well.

Tragic news and a horrible, horrible week for Offaly. God rest both of them.
