Thats The Blues first team alright. Been in a slump for a good while now. They won a Leinster senior club in 2000 on back of 5 for Eire Og in the 90s. Its amazing what a bit of success for the rival town team can do as motivation! A similar rivalry exists now in Newbridge.

Seeing a Carlow Club beating a Dublin one is the lovely thing about  Club Championships.

Has to be a clubs first team to enter any of the AI club championships.
Westmeath - Home of the Christy Ring Cup...

Good point. Hard to believe they went intermediate in Carlow.

Syferus

No way Athlone should be intermediate in Westmeath either, well there is but it's entirely their fault.

AZOffaly

Yeah, I was aware of the Athlone situation.

Lusk would be one of the smaller clubs in Dublin. After being in the doldrums for a long number of years, they've just done a junior league and championship double, and unfortunately this game came a bit too quick post the celebrations!

Carlow clubs have a great record against Dublin clubs in Leinster competitions.
Eire Og beat Kilmacud Crokes, Erins Isle and St Sylvesters in Leinster Finals. O Hanrahans beat Na Fianna in a Leinster Final. a 100% record in 4 Leinster Club Finals. Now Grange beat Lusk. Not a bad record.

Captain Obvious

St Vincent's beaten in county final today Connolly held scoreless.
