Off topic somewhat but handiest place I could find:
Connacht U21 draw-
Ros v Galway , winners v Sligo
Mayowestros v Leitrim.

The Rhubarb rehab project continues >:(.

Leitrim to win.

Ronan Steede is in flying form for Corofin at the minute, hopefully he'll get a decent shot at the Galway midfield next year. You'd have to be impressed by Corofin, 3 in a row, Kieran Fitzgerald winning his 10th county medal and they're only in 3rd gear so far, sad thing is there doesn't seem to be anyone in Galway at the moment that will be able to stop them going for 4 in a row! The motivation they have to keep going is unreal. All the best to them in Connacht.

He's very unfortunate not to get any game time in the championship last year, he's a better player then he was a few years ago and has been outstanding for Corofin in the games I've seen over the last 12 months. It will be interesting to see how he does if he was to come up against Barry Moran or the O'Shea brothers in the next few months.

Cop on Rossfan. It's in a LM venue. Mayo haven't the best track record at this level. Think if Ros reach the final the God almighty tanking ye'd inflictoon us.

The Tanned One gives any Roscommon man an added motivation. But no one is go oh to be worrying about Mayo with Galway up first. Going to be a very short season for one of us.

A handy draw for Mayo alright and with that draw and the pick of 2013 All Ireland and Connacht 2014 minor winners they should be favourites to win the Connacht U-21 title next year.

Hard to see Corofin beaten in the Connacht senior club championship this November the Intermediate & Junior club winners will be harder to pick.

When was the last time a club from Leitrim or Sligo won the Connacht senior club? Or has it ever been done?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connacht_Senior_Club_Football_Championship#Top_winners

St. Mary's    - Sligo   1977, 1980, 1983
Yeah Mary's won it those three times, could possibly have won more too, though Clann were commencing their reign of terror around that time too. Three other Sligo teams made finals though only Curry might realistically wonder what might have been. Aughawillan, Sean O'Heslin's and Mary's of Carrick have contested finals from Leitrim I think. Neither county reps going threatening that anytime soon, and certainly not when you're in the same half as Corofin.

Galway lads - what are Clifden like? They're playing our boys in the Junior next Sunday, would be very surprised if we got anything out of it but hopefully we'll put on a better show than last year if nothing else.
Owenmoresider - Clifden would be average enough.
In fairness they did well to win the West Galway championship beating a fancied Oranmore team in the West Galway final (I thought Oranmore would have a real chance at winning Connacht).
I played against them in the championship 2 years ago when they would have been a fair bit stronger than they are now. We beat them after a replay.
They haven't been going that well since then.
They were terrible when we played them last year (albeit an end of season league game).
The Galway junior championship is weak at the moment though.Nearly all club second teams in it now.
Oranmore the only real half decent side Clifden would have had to beat to win the championship in all honesty.

I have a good friend from Ardnaree who I joke with every Summer saying 'The Double is on - Mayo and Ardnaree!'

To which he'd shake his head and look to the ground.

Clann ended a 19 year wait today. Ironically the team they beat back in 1996 were this year's Inter champions, Michael Glaveys.

Senior final was poor viewing today despite a big turnout. Clann will need to seriously improve to trouble Breaffy or Castlebar.

Lol, I think a few people have said the same type of thing in relation to ardnaree and Mayo county team. Delighted for them though ,,I'd say it will be wild round that part tonight and tomorrow .

I believe so. Junior in Leitrim dominated by B sides. They must be struggling?
