Good half of football between two well matched sides I think the pitch on TV looks worse than it actually is.  Martin Farragher,Barry Moran the stand out players for their sides in that half.

Was in Tuam for the Galway v Armagh league match a couple of years ago and the pitch was equally as bad. Surely there is a better pitch in Connacht? Tuam is a lovely place though.

Everyone is happy not to be in the wind tunnel in Salthill in late November for this one. Tuam is in pieces but there's a bit of magic about that ground still. Hopefully it gets renovated.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Cracking goal but Corofin can still win it with soft frees.

Could be the goal to win it for Mitchels. Corofin look to have lost the heads.

From the Bunker

Cathal Silke plays the big man with James Durcan. Durcan minds his business and end up with a Yellow!

Mitchels better attitude and footballers. Pity if they lost it now.

Pitch is a joke. Corofins quick forwards have been cancelled out by playing on a bog with long grass.  Corofin looking a tired team.

Tubberman

Corofin look to have lost it now, fair play to Mitchels, they look very good, seem to improve outside the county which is a great trait.
What do we make of Rochford now :P

Martin Farragher sending off was another blow to Corofin. With 5 mins to go only looks like one winner right now.

Mayo win the Treble in Connacht - Senior, Intermediate and Junior. A job well done today and Roachford freed up for the Mayo Job!  :D

Declan Reilly for Mayo job ;D

Well done to the Mitchels. Great display from the county players in particular. Cunniffe, Douglas, Paddy Durcan and Barry were outstanding today.

Only 3 points in that second half for Corofin. Castlebars 2nd win against Corofin in Tuam in 3 years and they look improved outfit from 2 years ago will take a top side to beat them in the All Ireland series.

Very flat performance from Corofin today. Hard to pick out many who played well for them. Reminded me of the Tuam Stars game in the Galway quarter-finals which they also should have lost. Looked a little leg weary. Although the very heavy pitch probably didn't help and suited the physically bigger Castlebar side. As so often in these winter club games, goals often make the difference. Whoever gets them puts themselves in a great position.

Top performance by Castlebar. Very good especially in second half. Probably should have won by more only for some fumbling near Corofin goals in the first half. thought at that stage that Corofin were getting on top when they came back into it to level at half time. But Castlebar showed their mettle. And the way they finished the match was fabulous.
