Would be surprised if Corofin lose after what happened two years ago. Castlebar when tested looked average enough and it exposed what was a brutal Breaffy performance a few weeks ago.

For Clann, it's all about learning from their mistakes today as they will likely win the county title again in the coming years.

Wouldn't agree with that. In games like these where one team seems to be running away with it early the ref often "intervenes" with softer decisions for the losing side to prevent a hammering. And I thought the ref gave a lot of soft frees to Clann and especially the black card.

Also you have teams here who are at similar levels. Brigids won it in 2013, Castlebar got to final in 2014 and Corofin won last year. Shows how strong club football is in Connacht with 3 teams across different counties competing. so would doubt that argument above. Of course Corofin will be hot favorites as reigning club champions and probably rightly so but if the venue is e.g. McHale park then I think it will be tight.

It's cute blaming the ref but Castlebar had started to fade in this game by the ten minute mark. What was it, 3 points in 40 minutes before that flurry of 3 in 4 minutes when Clann missed three chances while two points down? When Clann tightened up down the middle of their defence in the second half Castlebar looked at a bit of a loss as to what to do.

I thought Castlebar would put Clann to the sword after that start but they showed themselves incapable of that and allowed a very young and inexperienced team dominate them to such an extent that three goals were almost entirely wiped away.

Castlebar are a good side but it going to take more than what they've shown today or in the Mayo final to go to Tuam and beat Corofin.

Castlebar have a good team.  A lot of players with Senior inter-county experience e.g.
Feeney * 2, Cunniffe,
Would say they will give Corofin a good run for their money.
Where is the final or is that decided yet?

Out of interest between them how many senior inter county championship or NFL games have Durcan, O'Reilly, Douglas, Kirby played?

Not easy to defend a provincial title at club level as seen in Leinster,Munster and Ulster this year. Corofin will be at home (Tuam) as they played the final in MacHale park last year.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Durcan got a few games this year in the League and Championship. O'Reilly got a shot at a few league games a few years ago. Does not have the pace for inter-county. Douglas had a good FBD last year, but was not looked at after that. Kirby got a few League games this year. One against Donegal where his conditioning told and he took a lot of punishment in the Full forward line.

Not sure how you think they were soft. They were well worked goals  and how do you know that Castlebar will not score similar goals against Corrofin.Always hate this type of analysis where if only we did not concede those 2 goals we would have won.
If there's one team that can score goals it's Castlebar. They'll need them the next day.

Who's managing Corofin lads?
Some chap called Rochford that will manage Mayo seniors next year.

Castlebar will win the all Ireland if they stay getting referees like yesterday, I suspect prenty had a say in his appointment yesterday he absolute rode Clann, 14 yard frees can not be taken quick as per the rules of the game, questions over where free was taken from also. Second goal came from a free ref awarded castle bar when it was a blatant push in the back and should have been a free in. Clann should have had peno at the end for a foot block which he just ignored. Every time Ultan Harney got the ball he was pulled down ref failed to punish castle bar for persistent and cynical fouling. The black card was a black card and those who questioned it should look up the rules Feeney should have went few minutes after but ref cowards out of it. Had there been a better ref yesterday there could have been a shock on the cards. All the talk leaving the pitch yesterday was about the ref and his very dodgy calls

Castlebar were never going to lose that game ,i strongly believe they were guilty of taking it for granted after the first five minute blitz.

At 11/4 to beat corofin, id be of the thinking thats a good value bet. 2 ton on that please and that will sort one of the god forsaken iphone santy toys.
Walk-in down mchale rd , sun out, summers day , game day . That's all .

The only quibble I would have is the number of soft frees give to Clann early in the second half and his application of the over carrying rule (which was consistent for both teams but was overdone). Never a pen for a foot block, a foot block is only given when the defenders foot is in close proximity to the kicking foot of the shooter. Black card decision was correct as it was a deliberate pulldown. You should look up the rules yourself as Feeney's tackle was not a black card as he attempted to play the ball out of the Clann players hand so wasn't a deliberate attempt to pull down.

If its riding your into. Nothing could beat the riding Brigids got against the same opposition Connacht final 2013. Duffy my arse is still sore.

In fairness the ref made mistakes yesterday for both sides, unlike Duffy he did not favour one side over the other. Castlebar will be no push-overs in the final. Clann can be proud of first big day out in Connacht in 19 years. They were beaten 3 times in the Roscommon championship this year.

Will you give us a break.....fvckin Cake and Frankie should have both seen straight reds long before Mitchels got a couple of dodgy calls. Frankie clothes lined Alan Feeney and Cake came flying out and gave Douglas 2 knees in the back without any attempt to play the ball
