I was just wondering are pistachio nuts available already
shelled?

Love them but the are a pain  in the a8se shelling them.  And there are always a few that are never opened, do the contain a diamonds?

Would  shelled pistachio nuts be a viable commercial proposition?

Yes, ubiquitously over here at least. Quite expensive though, nuts are expensive on the whole.

I'm currently paying a bit extra for hardboiled, peeled eggs. Saves me the hassle of doing that myself

Posh lads...We're a long way away from opening your own monkey nuts..

Try Syria, where they have shelled nuts, shelled olives, shelled citrus fruits and a variety of shelled vegetables.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Feckin deadly.

I was up in Portland once and bought a bag of shelled hazelnuts from a farmers market. Absolutely deadly. They grow them in the Willamette valley in Oregon

Thought I would take up eating them when back in Socal..... fecking rip off! and rotten! Tasted dusty or stale or something.

Unshelled is the only way to go if your far from the source but hard to get.

Does anyone grow them commercially in Ireland? The trees grow like weeds?
