Aren't scholarships awarded by the universities and the GPA? What role do the finances of individual county boards play in that?

If you are on the minor team in Dublin, fellows with PhDs are sent to give you grinds, while in Leitrim you still have to help milk the cows.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

The biggest problem is ceding total control of your finances to cult-like managers. The County management have to think of the bigger picture.

When you hear County X is spending €XXXXXXX per year but raising most of it themselves you know you're in trouble - it all comes from the same pot.

Cult figure leaves and county board is unable to pay the ESB bill

Whatever you do, don't mention the millions that Dublin GAA get. Talk about anything else but the millions Dublin GAA get. Never speak of the millions Dublin GAA get. :D

This thread isn't up to standard, I might start a new one in the lead up to the All Ir€land Final with proper facts and start a good discussion on these important issues.
