No one is a cartoon villan, who is 100% bad with no good traits. We have all had good thoughts and bad thoughts, completed good deeds and bad ones, been generous and selfish. One thing above all tho is we all have the right to live, if nothing else our lives give us the opportunity to atone for our past wrongs.

This should be on a religious pamphlet, the world is full of evil individuals, complete and utter b@stards who just want to do harm to individuals or sections of society, this cr@p I met Peter and he was nice, what he said hello, suppose there are people saying I met Jimmy Saville and he was nice, said hello and all.  Jesus wept!

Unlike nice, pleasant, sensible, kind, caring guys like yourself   ::)

Allegations that the UK's top Cardiac Specialist was put in charge of Peter's case until Iris decided to pull him off are wide of the mark.

Met Robinson once, found him to be quite genuine. Can't say I agree with his politics or some of the nonsense he pulls, but I wouldn't wish ill health on anyone.

I agree Ziggy, if I couldnt wish ill on Thatcher I certainly could not wish ill on Robinson!

I have nothing good to say about the man so I will say feck all.
Armagh, the one true love of a mans life.

You cannot purge the dissidents in any party in the short term, especially when you have Allister ready to provide them and their substantial voter base with an alternative home.I still believe Robinson to be progressive, and God forbid the mantle is passed on to the likes of Dodds and Co

So your argument is that Robbo is progressive. When it is pointed out to you that he has not been progressive in this key regard. You point out that he could not be progressive but offer no alternative evidence of his progressive streak.

Agree with you on Dodds. Dodds would be incredibly damaging to NI although he would be caught in the difficult position of being outside Stormont. To take the leadership he would have to resign his Westminster seat and trigger an election and also go through the formality of co-option to Stormont.

Is that why the Dublin Govt treats the North as Foreign Affairs and voted en masse for the deletion of Articles 2 and 3 copper fastening partition?

Grow up - what do want the Irish Government to do - give NI its own minister and government department? To do what exactly?

Its not about politics or what side of the fence he's on, he a human being.

If you can't say something civil..... say nawhin!

Wishing him a speedy recovery

You must be in your 20's maybe ask someone older than you about this human being!

People in their 20s find it easier to accept McGuiness as DFM.
People in their 20s find it easier to accept Robinson as FM

Love Donegal people. I'm worshipped by the people of Dunlewey. Don't think they've never seen a guy in a wheelchair before.

lCohen, the free state govt,if it was remotely interested in unification or nationalists in the North would a) Half heartedly even lobby for a United Ireland and b) Not treat as Foreign Affairs the Northern part of Ireland.

Is it really such a bad thing that the prevailing Irish governments let the demand for unification play out in the north whilst it gets on with managing/mis-managing things in the south? Is this something that creates more problems that it avoids?

Is it really such a bad thing that the Irish government, in recognition of the principle of consent, assists in the peace process but does not present a teritorial claim to NI and recognises that it is currently part of the UK (i.e. a foreign jurisdiction). What good would come form having their interest in the peace process represented by a department with a different label than foreign affairs?

No,but the Scots got a referendum involving all of Scotland on independence. Why has no freestate govt demanded the same,in a peaceful non threatening manner,if they really care?.
