The place where I work were on skelenton staff recently because the boss decided that all the laydeez should get a half day to go some 'women in business' conference.

Would I not be correct in saying that if there was a men's equivalent (with the equivalent half-day's holiday) there would be a right kick up?

Is it not called a golf outing?

I'm forever running out to those pesky men only golf days!
