i heard this in the late 1980s (his son was in the Poly at the time) and haven't heard of any higher.

The record for Kerry was Gawksie O'Connor who scored 5-10 in an old Oireachtas competition in the 40s, not sure if you're counting that competition.

Record scorer from play in AI final is the Bomber with 3-2
