Correct, the Rovers firm can at least walk the walk.....

These are kids acting like interweb hardmen. While every effort should be made to limit any inevitible drunken tomfoolery that will happen where large numbers of young men interact, lets not over-react here.

From Hoganstand;

The last line of the report sums up the general feeling of the thread contributors, i think.

Mayo GAA linked with hooliganism
07 June 2007

A web page on the vastly popular Bebo site encouraging Mayo GAA supporters to join a 'firm' and inciting violence has been removed following a number of complaints.

There were widespread complaints over the webpage that seemed to promote hooliganism in the GAA, a situation that has been unheard of in the past.

Anyone who visited the site was invited to join 'The Mayo Firm' and there photographs showing fans rioting with police and the county's crest displayed in the corner.

The introduction on the page read: We're the Cults, the so-far small Mayo Firm, soon to be big. "Look at the page before matches to see where everyone will meet. Add as friend to join. No girls or anyone under 16 allowed. This is a firm for anyone who wants to support Mayo as a large organised group, sing chants and songs on the terraces, and bring the missing element of fan rivalry to GAA matches."

However, following the complaints, the page was taken down much to the relief of all the genuine Mayo supporters in the county and further afield.
