GAA Charity Match - Bank holiday Monday
« on: April 30, 2014, 09:50:41 AM »
Lads, have a look at the website http://www.charitygaamatch.com/

The match is taking place this Monday in Portlaois. All the players are cancer survivors. Micko and Brian Cody are managing the teams on the day with proceeds for St Lukes and St James Hospitals.

A very good friend of mine, Jason Hughes, is taking part and any support would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Two Louth men playing in Derek and Aidan Shevlin, who are both cousins and survivors. Derek represented Louth back in 2000 and again in 2006. Aidan plays for well know Stabannon Parnells. Cancer is not the only setback Aidan has had to deal with, back in 1997 when Stabannon were once a power house he was in a bad car accident and was lucky enough to get back playing football 3 years after that in 2000.

Best of luck to them with their fund raiser.
