extra time

Dont think you could call it rotation as young Harrison has already played the first 3 lge games. Think big Brendy is due a run out tomorrow.

Snoopdog's best bet for a live commentary is probably <www.galwaybayfm.ie>. Extra Time, are you suggesting a rotation policy or something further ?
thanks mourne rover i will tune in and see if galwaybay have it.

i would expect galway to put in a performance today. Its baffling how a county that developes such great underage players fails to deliver at senior level at the top table so often at both codes. They should have beaten cork at Croke park last year so it shows what they are capable off.
I dont see this as a straightforward win for Down. When has anything been straight forward for Down.
tough game today and to get promotion Down will need to win 3 of their last 4 games.

McVeigh starts instead of Harrison, and Fitzpatrick replaces Mallon at midfield.

galway 0-06 Down 0-05 HT
Down 1 pt from play, says it all

Mourne Rover

H/T Galway 0-6 Down 0-5. The Galway commentator says the home side are unrecognisable from last week. It sounds like a very tight game but it is a concern that O'Hare is our only scorer.

DN is hard to listen to. poor sound quality.
Laverty on for 2nd half

Galway 0.07 to 0.05

Aristo 60

DN are doing it over a phoneline.

7 all

that explains it. sounds a poor game

snoopdog

my God, how poor are Down. Louth must have been terrible last week.

Galway 1.12 Down 0.08, dire  down performance, but should we be surprised.
another defeat next week for certain , luckily the 5 pts we have should keep us up, but we are going nowhere with this mgt team in my opinion, i was all for giving James another year but i see no improvement at all, got lucky against Monaghan, stole the points in Armagh so prob doing better than we should be.
what does that guy from DCU(name escapes me now) bring to the equation cause Down look no fitter or clued in than they did 2 years ago.

FT Galway 1-12 Down 0-8. Disappointing fade-out by Down after missing a couple of goal chances. The Galway goal which turned the game was scored by Cummings, who is apparently a grandson of the late Down great Patsy O'Hagan. It came when we messed up a 45, which seems to happen in every match.
