Id be a bit worried of Moran at CHF if he actually plays there . it was never his spot and he seems to have lost a step since his injury . I think we could prolong his career in the inside line.
Though id still see this as an experimental team

Andy inside and Gallagher would not surprise me. What would surprise me is if Gallagher is seriously being considered as a corner forward.

Maybe Gallagher will come out around the middle and leave a two man inside line which would give Conroy and Freeman the space to take on their men one on one close to goal rather than out in the corners under pressure?

It'll be interesting to see how Harrison gets on in the corner although I would say Shane MacHale will be the main man for backup to our starting fullback line come the summer as well as being a viable no. 6 with Boyler and Vaughan.

I hope Stephen Coen gets some more game time and it will be interesting to see if Sweeney or Tommy Conroy make the bench for this one.

Yeah 2 man ff line a likely development.
Harrison did better on McCurry than anybody else. Another corner back would be a welcome addition. Conroy hasn't been involved with U21s as far as I know? He didn't figure v Donegal anyway.

Tommy Goals would be better off trying to make the Mayo U21 team first.

Is it just me or does anyone else find the "Tommy Goals" moniker highly annoying.

As a former corner back, I would relish the opportunity to put someone like that on their hole.

If he keeps banging in the Goals in Croker for the rest of his career like he did for the minors then fair play to him. No problem with a nickname as long as he backs it up and is hated for living up to said moniker.

I thought any corner back worth his salt would relished putting any forward on his hole no matter what his name was? ;)

I am sure plenty of centre backs wanted to level the great Ciaran Mac because of his tattoo's , braided blond hair and the way he wore his socks up but it didn't stop him being brilliant for us. I didn't hear to many Mayo men giving out when he won games for us like in 2006!!

Forwards could be like this:

McLoughlin  Higgins  Gallagher

                Andy

     Freeman         Conroy.

That's what I'm expecting to see anyway when I see that line up. I'm sure we will be all the wiser about Conroy's ability (or lack of) to beat his man come Sunday evening. It's not the best Kerry team without Tomás, the 2 O'Sullivans, Gooch and Galvin missing. I hope the journey up tires the Kerry fellas. I'm going to say Mayo to just about scrape home in this one.

On his recent visit to Croke park Tommy Conroy was held scoreless by Truagh Gaels. I think its a bit too much pressure on a young player just out of minor level to be hyped up as some type of goal machine.

Didn't Ciaran McDonald receive verbal abuse whenever Mayo lost or when he had a poor game? maybe he was easy scapegoat for the way he looked.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

My point exactly

I was watching a re run of the 2012 semi final versus Dublin and Jason Doherty was being referred to as the goal scoring specialist

Then with the game in the pot during the second half, one on one with Cluxton, he blasts wide.

Casey is the only Crokes player starting.

Decent Kerry team, probably as good as we can put out at the moment apart from injuries. A bit more optimistic about our prospects having heard that. Half forward line is a bit iffy, but Darran and Johnny Buckley will probably appear at some stage there.

Not a tricky game to call looking at that Kerry line up.
