No thread on this? A very understrength Dubs beat Kerry, and deserve it. Some of the kids had great performances including my old  teammate Cormac Costelloe. If they let Cluxo kick the long frees the margin of the win woud have been much better and Kevin mc was the Kerry killer again. Good start to the new season

Referee in this was a disgrace. Gave Kerry nothing after the red card.

ONeill

I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Good to see some GAA sacred cows never change.

Captain Obvious

Two understrength teams in a game of shadow boxing.

+1.
Not Mr Coldrick's finest hour.
Presumably he wanted to keep in with the top brass after sending the Dublin full back off in case he'd end up like john Gough and Micky Kearns.

What a shocker. Meath ref who has just sent off a Dub in Croke park proceeds to fill his togs thereafter and sides with the home team from there to the end.

I was going to have a go back but to be honest, I've a soft spot for Tyrone refs.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Very enjoyable night in  HQ with an impressive showing by young Costello alright. Good to see Alan back for a full game as well

Could not agree more. Kerry 2 up and then coldrick gives dublin what can only be called a few dubious frees to swing the momentum. We were talking not so long ago about the influence refs have in games...this was a prime example. Kerry did not deserve to lose this one

Watchewd the highlights on TG4.

Aidan O'Mahony definitely dived at the end. I would have said he should be embarrassed by it, but then it's not as if he hasn't done that sort of thing before. At least he didn't get anyone sent off this time. Also I lost count of the number of times Paul Murphy fouled Cormac Costello, no cards for him
