McDonald's and annual leave

Anyone know how McDonald's in the north work Annual leave for their Student staff, the ones who only do 1 or 2 dys a week?

General employment law would still apply surely so pro-rata the days work to the minimum annual leave legislated for in Norn Iron.

I thought they used zero hours contracts? Was wondering how they sort out AL pay in that respect - do they just gross up normal pay by a % as they go?
