Colombia have some great talent in their Squad its a pity Falcao is out though

Anyone listen to the world football phone in? Its a podcast on BBC. Excellent coverage by BBC Brazilian journalist Tim Vickery.

Anyway I thought Colombia could be an outside bet to do well, but Vickery feels they peaked two years ago. The Falcao injury and a centre back partnership who are in mid 30's will leave them vulnerable!

Handy enough group though you'd think. Greece and Japan should be beatable for them, in South America, while the Ivory Coast should be the main competition for top spot. If Colombia do come out of it, they'll play someone in England's group. I'd fancy them, in South America, against Italy or England. Uruguay would be a tougher one for them I'd think.

I'd say every team in that group will fancy themselves. Especially with Falcao out Columbia are very beatable. I could see any two of those four qualifying. Both Japan (qualified for the Last 16 in two of the last three World Cups) and Greece have shown themselves to be exactly the sorts of un-fancied teams that thrive at the big tournaments.

Normally i'd agree, but in South America Colombia have to have an advantage.

Euro teams always have it less easy in South America

Is that the World Cup ball they are using in the England game? Awful looking!

Ronaldo in a bit of bother http://t.co/iYvu2ypOaP

"This injury can never be cured by any medic, they can never see what is causing the injury because it is spiritual. Today, it is his knee, tomorrow it is his thigh, next day it is something else."

Arrogance. It's such a curse.

Yes. He studied for a bit at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin too I think.
He did not.

Sterling goes in with an over the ball leg breaker on Valencia who quite right tears into him for a trampish act.  Medal envy probably!
